Outside of the safe is constructed of 16-gauge steel, while soft foam on the inside protects valuables. High-strength lock mechanism performs reliably. I own 8 of these safes. They are very fast to open in an emenrgency, can opened in the dark - just by feel, yet allow a complex multitouch combination to be set to keep unauthorized people (aka children) out.I use these in several rooms in the house, in cars, and in the office. They may be secured with a steel cable to prevent theft. Be sure to change the batteries every six months. Too bad you cannot order them keyed the same....

Does the job I bought it to do. I Have not had any problems with it so far, and have had it for going on 6 months now. I would recommend it to others if they are looking for a cheap quick access gun safe. (If you want to spend a little more, get the upgraded version with the power cord since a lot of people have trouble with the battery life)
