GunVault is pleased to introduce NanoVault, the compact, secure and affordable handgun storage safe solution. The NanoVault is perfect for home, travel or concealed-weapon permit holders. The NanoVault meets TSA airline firearm guidelines and fits discreetly in a bag, briefcase, desk or under a vehicle seat.
The NanoVault features an easy-to-operate key lock system, 21-gauge steel construction and 1.25-inch thick memory foam interior. Each unit comes standard with a 1,500-pound test security cable. When the cable is wrapped around any fixed object and slid over the lock receiver inside the security box, both the NanoVault and any valuables will be securely attached.

The Nano vault NV200 is sturdy, compact and provides a safe manner to transport guns in states that require a locked container as well as keeping them out of the hands of minors and folks who don't know how to safely handle them. The included cable won't stop someone with bolt cutters from removing the gun from your car or house, but it will definitely challenge most other attempts. It can be breached, but not without significant time and effort.
The vault is well made and finished. For the price, it is excellent. I use mine for legal baggage and car transport as well as "hiding" the gun safely close by in the evening or while traveling.
The only way to improve this would be to offer a model with an electronic keypad to reduce the likelihood that someone would find the keys and open the case.

I know many others have stated that this safe smell horrible, I wonder if GunVault changed the type of foam they use. The first thing I did was smell it after I opened it up and I didn't really detect any obscene odor as many have reported. It had a faint smell like spray paint, but nothing that was unbearable. Regardless, this safe was exactly what I needed for travel and storing my firearm when unable to carry it. As a side note, I noticed that this safe also has the ability to be bolted down securely as well.

Gave this item three stars for the following reasons:
- The vault itself seems to be well made. I was able to fit all items I bought this for into it. I bought the keyed version and the lock seems to be well made. The padding will secure all the items properly although it does smell a little at first.
- The down-side of this purchase is that the included cable isn't well made. I was able to pull the loops apart with one finger in the loop and by pulling the cable with my other hand. Seems that the crimp on both end loops wasn't done properly. If I hadn't tested the cable one good tug and a thief would be off with the NanoVault. Instead I purchased a thicker, better made cable from TufNut Works that should secure it properly.

Tuff box
Very sturdy and well made. It is heavy but that was expected. I was able to secure it to the interior of my suitcase very easily.

Does what it says
Compact, easily portable, fairly lightweight. The flex cable is kind of a joke, I wouldn't trust my child's plastic toys with it, let alone a firearm.
