Product Description

Sharply molded in color parts, this 1/100-scale, non-grade plastic kit of Gundam Exia can take on a wide range of poses upon completion, thanks to the use of polycaps in its joints. It's fully equipped with its signature weaponry, including a GN sword that can switch to GN sword rifle mode, and be able to be folded shoulder antennas. Not a drop of glue or paint required (although painting will improve the finished results)! A sheet of foil stickers is included for detail along with a joint part for use with Bandai's Action Base 1 to set Gundam Exia in mid-air poses.

Customer Reviews

The 1/144 scale HG Gundam Exia is simply the best model from its line, and a really fine kit overall.

Like - no need glue - great numerous positions - great GN weapons and shield - Dislike - some areas need paint like GN drive.
Ryuga
The pieces are really tiny, so when your building it you have to watch out or else you'll drop a piece and never find it.

The 1/144 scale HG Gundam Exia is simply the best model from its line, and a really fine kit overall.

What you get:
-Good poseability. The suit can't really crouch effectively (few 1/144 kits can), but has sturdy joints that allow it to stand well and can recreate a ton of cool poses. There are even details down to the "kneecaps" of the unit being an individual unit that can be adjust independently.
-No glue, no paint. It all snaps together, and the included stickers do a good job of making this kit look great, and if you want to paint all you'll have to do is detail work. The kit looks excellent as is.
-All the weapons. The Seven Swords Gundam is in full swing here. The large E-carbon blade folds down to reveal a submachine gun, or folds out to turn the unit into an almost traditional-looking sword. The two GN Blades have removable hip mounts, so you can leave them off without affecting the looks of the kit whatsoever. There are even blades for the Beam Sabers (which were mysteriously absent from other kits). The only small concern is that there are only two Beam Sword blades, meaning you can't recreate the Beam Daggers from the show. Really a small concern overall, as there's more equipment here than you find in most other 1/144 kits.

The rough bits:
-The GN Blades don't fasten very securely, and if you're posing the kit, I'd recommend pulling them off until the final step. They rest just fine, but they pop out very easily while posing. Or remove them and their mounts entirely to make the unit more streamlined- the kit can do that.
-As mentioned, you get hilts for the Beam Daggers but no blades.

Overall, this may be the best of the Gundam units from the HG 1/144 line. It has virtually every piece seen in the show, and they're all fantastic. Highly recommended. I'd also suggest getting the actual action stand for this kit, only because the mass of weapons it can mount deserves an appropriately cool pose.

As a fan of the Gundam series and it's models, I was very excited to order this replica of Gundam 00's Exia model. At first I felt a little nervous. The second I received my order however, I was very pleased with my purchase. It took around three hours to build the model and do the detail work. The model looks fine without additional painting or lining, but I would suggest using a Gundam line marker to do the touch ups. The paint itself is fine and doesn't rely too much on stickers. The completed product looks great. Comes with many of Exia's weapons from the show and it is pretty flexible as far as model's are concerned. I highly recommend this product for those who wish to collect the Gundam model's but don't feel like paying for the larger models.

I just recently finished building it today my first model kit, I nearly lost a piece but recovered it.

Okay, so this kit came in perfect condition, not crushed. The things that is on the image is exactly what you desire; GN shield, GN blade, GN drive, GN pistol, beam saber, long/short blade, and other saber w/out beam. The kit is truly High grade class. The colors match from the image, has a lot of articulation (which means you can recreate the same pose from the series), good detail on the parts, the instruction is japanese but the images are numbered and easy to follow.

Like
- no need glue
- great numerous positions
- great GN weapons and shield
-

Dislike
- some areas need paint like GN drive.
- GN blade need some green on it, beam saber lacks paint.

I owned a gundam that is shorter than the 1/144 scale and that is the Gundam Heavy arms custom its like 1/150 scale. 1/144 scale is so much better.

The HG (High Grade) Gundam Exia from the anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" is quite a good kit. It is a terrific representation of the small but powerful mecha from the new series. It is known as the "Seven Swords Gundam", and it lives up to its name. Its accessories:
*1 "GN long blade"
*1 "GN short blade"
*2 Beam Sabers
*2 Beam Daggers
*1 "GN Sword I" (Can switch to a beam rifle)
The poseability is great for a High Grade (HG), and it is quite easy to put together. The parts snap together. The instructions have mostly Japanese text, but very well-detailed pictures. A great buy-get it today!

This Exia model is a little smaller than I expected, but it was a pleasure to build. It's all clip and snap, more like a puzzle than model building. It looks fantastic. I'm knocking one star off only because the swords don't attach very well and the sticker for the shield is a bit of an issue.

I'll try my best to keep this helpful. I have posted my own images of my finished Exia's (Check them out under Kevin Q in the photos)

This model comes with everything you need to make it look awesome without any additional paint. The nice thing is for the parts that you want to panel line (with a Gundam marker, or with a wash method) are extremely easy due to the guide lines on the pieces.

Secondly if you are building your first Gundam, this one has essentially all the parts you need to practice a LOT of basic techniques (masking and painting, seam line closing, sanding). It's an awesome looking model as well if you check out the close ups.

There's also multiple weapon and hand options to give your Exia some personality. Bandai's newer 1/144 models have improved a lot in their articulation over the years and this Exia is no exception. This model does not come with a stand however, so if you want to get some really awesome poses, it wouldn't hurt to purchase a stand with it as well.

Other than that, for being an 1/144 there is an amazing amount of details. I highly recommend purchasing it. I have two for a reason.
