bulky and repetitive... cool shield though, August 29, 2005

This is a decent model and some parts of the plastic have a very nice feel to it. The material is also very thick like the PG series, which is good. What I liked best about this gundam is the shield, which is probably the best looking part of the whole kit. It has a lot of details and color variation and feels and looks like something you would get from an action figure. The downside is that the arms are very weak and falls off very easily. There is also no way that it can hold up the shield without and modifications. At the price of $20.. I cant complain. Buy it.

Not for little kids..., August 19, 2004
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

It's very bulky and contains hundreds of parts to assemble. Certainly not for little kids, if I remind you. One serious problem with GP-02 is that it has very loose shoulder-to-torso joint, so the arms will fall of constantly. If you have some skill you might want to modify the shoulder joint area.

Incredible for the price!, August 8, 2005

This model is from Gundam 0083-stardust memory, the Gundam itself being referred to as "Physalis". First, as others have said repeatedly, this isn't a toy: it's a model kit. Though you can mess around with it for a while after it's been completed, it should largely be left on it's own as the plastic parts will likely wear out faster than most toys. Second, since this is a Master Grade kit, I expected a lot, but it's an early MG kit, so I lessened my expectations before I bought it. The price however was too good to pass up. My expectations changed while building it. It's a tremendously good buy and a model that can keep someone busy for hours, even if refinement isn't your goal. Just snapping pieces together takes quite some time. The hands don't seem to hold weapons very well, but the downsides (which are minimal) are sidelined for me since the price is soooo good. While this is not quite as pretty as the MG "Freedom Gundam", it is quite a testament of work and beats out in price some of the current High Grade model kits. Get it before they're gone or the blowout ends!
