As my Gundam collection began to grow, I knew this kit would be an inevitable purchase. The build was fun and challenging without being frustrating, and the finished product looks fantastic. Standing infront of some light makes the transparent red pieces really stand out, and I love the way that even though the Unicorn Mode is a separate kit, the pieces do look as if they could fit back together into the Unicorn Mode. The beam sabers don't come with any blades, but that's not really a problem if you've got a decent Gundam collection.

Overall, this is among the best of my collection so far, definitely recommended for any avid Gundam builder. Plus it's so tall, I love the way it looms menacingly over any other 1/144 figure.

I loved the way this kit came out. With the display head it looks great in my collection. It was surprisingly challenging for a 1/144 scale, which is a good thing. The articulation is good, the joints are stable, no real issues design wise. My only issue was with the transforming head display. It's a little loose in unicorn mode. I keep it transformed. Also, the horn isn't yellow when opened up. That was surprisingly bothersome to me, so I just painted it.

First off this is a great kit. I bought the regular 1/144 Unicorn when it first came out and was not disappointed. I tried to get my hands on this when it first released but the hobby shops around me did not carry it. Months passed until I saw it on Amazon. I immediately jumped on it and did not regret it. The head display is all white, so painting is required. I recommend Tamiya paint rather than Gundam markers because you can mix and match colors easier.

First 144 scale kit I built. Took at least 9 hours for the rx-0 and ~1.5 hours for the stand. (I nipped and used hobby knife with every piece, even inner ones) The whole kit has a good weight for its size and feels solid except for slightly not so good joints at arm (seem to want to come apart as they are not locked into place) and one polycap for leg(comes with extra leg polycaps) and head connection is not so stiff. They will stay in place, but move too easily for my liking. Be careful with the blue parts on the kit as there will be white marks if you nip close instead of nip far and trim. Overall the kit looks quite nice and impressive.
