God knows how much I adore Zakus. And at Comic Con I had the chance to buy the 2.0 Zaku II and build it when I came back.
This model is surely different from other models I've built in that it actually is quite a challenge. 2.0 is remade to be a bit more difficult to deal with, which doesn't make this a boring job. The manipulators/hand, for example, require cutting off extra pieces if you seek to be as perfect as you can make it, but the end result is that you have a hand that you can manipulate, not a pre-made or anything like that. There are more surprises to this Zaku, but it'll be up to you to find out! The interior is also a challenge. Pieces may be big, but this model requires dealing with smaller pieces to make the model as flexible and playable as it possibly can. The hardest part to me, was the power cables. I've made a Gouf Custom but the effort for the cable was no joke on this one. And I'll leave it at that. Overall, when Bandai says 2.0, they mean: your time will be worth it. Sieg Zeon |
