One Big Happy,
By J. Sherman "The Critic" (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gundam SEED ASTRAY R Volume 3 (Paperback)
Hunters of extra Gundam SEED material will find a lot of booty (treasure) in this third volume of Tomohiro Chiba and Yasunari Toda's comic, which continues the adventures of Lowe Guele/Gear and his Junk Guild crew. First the crew hits the high seas of Earth to recover a rare hunk of metal, along with everyone else! If that's not enough, Lowe heads back to space only to face the completed Gundam Astray Gold Frame. And Lowe still has more to deal with after that's over! Vol. 3 basically reunites the Junk Guild with all their enemies and rivals, including Blue Frame pilot Gai Murakumo. When the action finally winds down the crew hooks up with more familiar faces from the SEED universe, including Lacus Clyne, Andy Waltfeld, and even George Glenn, the first Coordinator! And just when you think it can't get any better, Chiba and Toda even throw in a chapter from the untranslated Gundam SEED Astray B, following the exploits of Gai and his team of mercenaries.
This comic is rated T for Teen (Ages 13+): Violence, Adult Situations. |
