Gundam Seed Astray Red Frame Model Kit

This gundam model is very different, because this is one of the newer gundams, there are many design changes that allow the gundam to be more poseable, such as more flexibility in the arms and legs. This gundam is not marked with a grade, but it seemed to be between HG and MG. The only bad thing about this gundam is that the shoulder guard is not locked together, what i mean is that the front and back guards are very loosely pieced together. Model is very sturdy and joints are not weak. The Astray models are much more flexible than other kinds such as Wing, G, or other Seed models. Whole set comes in a very large box. This is one of the few models that look good without any paint at all because of the detail, also comes with 2 beam sabers, rifle, shield, and the large silver katana. Unpainted model looks EXACTLY like the picture, only without the gold on the sword.

my girl friend got this for my 6 month anivorsity present. and i must say its my favriot.
before this i have purchased the ew death syth vs asty dual rengen and the exia 7 sword in that order, up tell now the death syth was my favriot...but no more. this one on addition to having an awesome katana and good base color scheme, was very fun to put togeher, tookij me bout 6 hrs.after the build was done the paint came next, using the seed paint pen kit after finishing that after a few weeks. now it looks like it does on the cover. also the posability is quite entertain seeing as a keep this and the death sythe on my desk at work, and every now again just reanging them in poses is fun. a must buy

I will just say that this model really does live up to all the hype and praise it has been given. I loved to build model kit's when I was younger but as time went on and I could no longer finde them in stores I stopped building them. Recently I have ordered a few online this being the main one based on the praise it has been geiven. The only problem I had was with on of the legs missing a crucial connection piece but other than that this really is a great kit to have and really ranks up there with the wing zero

The new line of gundam has gotten better. The joints which allow more range of movement is excellent and the molds of plastic layers add to the detail and build of the model. Still not for little kids or action figure fighting but great to have in a display case to show off.

Everyone who purchases a Gundam kit knows you're taking a chance with missing parts and such but this kit had everything including the parts not to be used in construction. On top of that, out came a full two days before the scheduled arrival date! It should also be noted that this is not a toy! This is a model kit similar to airplane and car kits made by companies such as Revell & Tamiya. This kit will not stand up to the abuse of most 2-12 yr olds.
The kit looks great. I haven't put it together yet so I can't comment on assembly.
I would definitely recommend this buy though!

lets start off. if you buy any Bandai. Give you this warning. Bandai dose not give service out side Japan. if you got prepainted parts with extreame bad paint job. example paint running, paint over spray spots.. scratched to death. Mising parts. Missing branches. Torn stickers and "U" and "Y" jointsdo not work and fall off. your dead dead dead. it realy sucks. Bandai USA and Bandai Japan loves kicking perople off. BOOO!
Now the review. this gundam frame is Strike Gundam frame in red. all the frame parts and crome parts are Strike Gundam. Including the Fingers.
The amrmor parts. well I noteice a few parts look like it comes from Gundam Exia 4 parts I Notice off the bat on that one. tht will be Branch A1-- parts25,26,27,28. may be more. However I do not have my Gundam Exia not opened, to test run all the parts. I do not have every PG grade Gundam It looks like they got armor from many gundam. I am not sure,. I have to look in to it. it looks like the designer of the kit had some left over parts and put them together and see what he got him self in to and come up with this one. that is waht it looks like to me. is this well . ok will weill help of you can read Japanese or find some one that can read every picture graph in Japanese to translate the paint colors.
I ro recomand using Mr. Color paint and its custom paint thinner. then add a little bit of the color known as flat base. you can turn semi gloss grays in to semi flat to flat to ultra flat. and you make gundam Colors better this way. ok for the flat white. use Tamiya spray white paint. that comes in a can. Use the best grade air brush that is inported from Japan. use the Mr .Color to clean the air bruch and air brush bottles and cap. amd cup. and to thin the paint. weathering. you can use Tamiya's weathering kit. its like a make up kit. the go over it with a gloss coat suck as Future floor finish. yes Floor Finish. thats my Gloss Coat! Air brush it. then clean with Alcohol. ok. or use flat coat from Yamiya spray.
your choice. I did not have the time to check in to paint colors translations. I do need some one to read the fancy picture graphs for the paint color you will be takin a expensive risk buying this kit. any bags missing or parts borken or missing, painted parts scratched up or got finger prints on it. No replacements will be sent from Bandai
you have to buy the entire kit again and again unrill you get it done
