This review is from: Gundam TR-1 Hazel II HGUC 1/144 Scale Model Kit (Toy)
Serious diehard Gundam fans may mistake this kit for another variation of the Gundam Mk II, but in fact this version is not from any anime show at all, but a Gundam novel side story called 'Advance of Zeta' which serves as a sequel to 0083 and prequel to Zeta Gundam.
This kit is in fact a highly modified GM given a Gundam head and a testbed for Titans MS technology. The kit itself is a fair representation of the novelized mecha, although a little squat in proportions compared to other current HGUC kits. Also the mold lines for the arm and leg armors show seam lines fairly easily and the dark blue plastic make these lines harder to hide without serious finishing work. Articulation is typical for a grunt style unit from the HG universe, meaning limited and much more mechanical looking, unable to assume the extreme crazy poses some AU kits can achieve. The backpack rocket thrusters look cool and well designed, but otherwise this resembles a GM Quel with a Mk II head and a crazy backpack. Still a decent build if not my favorite. |
