4.0 out of 5 stars The long awaited sequel to Fed vs Zeon June 29, 2005
By Apap87
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
There aren't to many Gundam games that come State side, let alone PAL (Europe, Australia, Africa, etc) but those that we do get tend to meet average standards. Although GvsZG doesn't have the graphics of Gundam's earlier games like Journy to Jaburo, Zeonic Front or Encounters in Space. The easy gameplay and controls make up for it.

Anybody can play this game! The controls were designed for toddlers, there are a ton of Mobile Suits (over 50) to choose from and 30 of them can transform at will a nice new feature.

This is the direct sequel of MSG although the Anime has yet to appear in the states, arguably the best series with some of the best Mobile Suits. I recomend this game to any Gundam fan or any person playing video games for the first time.

With plenty of Robots and Missions tons of missions there is a great deal of replay value. Oh and did I mention multiplayer? It has that too and Co-op so you and a friend can play together.

As for the cons, it's not much of an improvment over Fed vs Zeon, but that was a solid game itself so that's not as bad as it may sound. The stages are rather small and only so many robots can be on screen at one time.

I highly recomend this to Gundam fans and younger gamers because of the easy gameplay. Everybody else rent it or look on the bargain bin.

5.0 out of 5 stars a great gundam game September 21, 2005
By Kevin D
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
In Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam, you get to play as either the Titans (as shown in the end of 0083 and in the Zeta Gundam series), the AEUG (in Zeta Gundam) and Axis (formerly Zeon). i've already seen the Zeta Gundam series and it sticks to the story line as well as expands it. it allows you to "change history" by compeleting certain objectives. you also play as the pilots from the series. the graphics are good. you can control all the MS from Federation vs Zeon plus the new AEUG and Titans suits. the music is good but sometimes can become old. it has the actual voice overs from the series.the only thing that i can think of that is not good is the repetion of levels. you fight in the same exact area over and over again but with different objectives. and you kinda get the storyline if you haven't watched the series Zeta Gundam but to fully understand it, you'll need to watch Zeta gundam.

3.0 out of 5 stars better than federation vs zeon, sorta August 8, 2005
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
First off, this game is obviously a sequel to gundam FVZ, by the name at least. after playing it a bit i realized as much, it has some minor tweaks to the grafics and transformable mobile suits. there are 72 mobile suits and all the original mobile armors. the space combat has only slightly improved, though barely noticeable over FVZ, and is still considerably worse than gundam Encounters in space. it's story mode plays out the story of the original gundam and zeta gundam, with a twist, you can change the outcome of the game by completeing the hard missions in a special way. most of these just cause a pilot thast normally dies to live making a story branch off. all in all if you liked gundam: federation vs zeon, you'll like gundam gundam vs zeta gundam.

This is one of the best Gundam game around. The best thing is you can pilot 50+ mobile suit in their CG version, now I can enjoy the game with my 9 year old son because of the easy game control.Unlike the PS1 gundam assault game in which so many buttons has to be entered in order to activate an attack, the gundam VS Zeta gundam has much easier game control I highly recommended to all gundam fans

If anyone has ever played Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon, then Gundam vs. Zeta is the game for you. The title kind of throws you off but the gameplay and 3rd person view says it all. I'll list some differences between both games from my point of view. When I put "Character", it means a hero/heroine from both good and/or evil side such as Amuro + Char

DIFFERENCES
(Will say and start with Gundam vs. Zeta then Fed vs. Zeon. Detailed changes are listed below as #(number)+(plus sign))
-In Arcade and Campaign mode, "Character" voices
1+: In Gundam vs Zeta, "Character" voices are always enabled, even if two human players play or if enemy "Character" spawns. In Fed vs. Zeon, voices were disabled unless you played solo (only in Arcade as a "Character", in Campaign, you were a 3rd party pilot who is in the war and can only hear "Character" voices during the battle, your pilot does not talk at all)
2+: This is only in Gundam vs. Zeta, ALL "Character"s have the same 3 special ability you pick during the loading screen for the mission (only can choose one and activates manually in battle once the yellow bar is fully charged/flashing)
-Campaign Mode
1+: In Gundam vs. Zeta, Play a "Character" to unlock another "Character" story, actions made during the game can change story. You could also customize the mobile suits to make it a bit easier in missions. In Fed vs. Zeon, you are a 3rd party pilot during "The One Year War" throughout the whole game. Choices you make earn you different mobile suits.
2+: In Gundam vs Zeta, your "Character" against the enemy "Character" is a fair fight. The damage you do and receive are about the same when you do it to the enemy "Character". In Fed vs.
