5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish and they work really well
I first saw these at a store in Las Vegas (WAY more expensive though, they wanted $150 versus $99 here) I have to say I was a bit of a skeptic....computer glasses....but I decided to give them a try; they REALLY work well. They are comfortable, stylish and again they work.

3.0 out of 5 stars They sorta help
I decided to get these more for playing video games then computer work. As a graphic designer, the yellow tint is a no-no so I'd be constantly taking them on and off when working. I wanted to try these because after about 45min of playing video games my eyes start buggin out and have to stop. I played my games for a few hours while using these glasses with no issues. Once...

I first saw these at a store in Las Vegas (WAY more expensive though, they wanted $150 versus $99 here) I have to say I was a bit of a skeptic....computer glasses....but I decided to give them a try; they REALLY work well. They are comfortable, stylish and again they work.

I had lasik last year and with that near vision suffers a little. At the end of a day after being stuck in my office banging away at this plastic tray of chiclets, my eyes would be trashed. I had to get a stronger pair or reading glasses to read the paper at night.

I noticed a difference the first day and now I swear by these.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does relieve eye strain, February 11, 2009
This review is from: Gunnar Optiks ST004-C011 Attache Metropole Digital Performance Eyewear with i-AMP Lens Technology (Mercury) (Personal Computers)
Been only a month now, but these glasses do relieve the eye strain for me. Only time will tell, but it is encouraging thus far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money, December 9, 2010

I suffer from migraines and one of my triggers is cubeville lighting. Since I'm a secretary, sitting in the dark is not a realistic solution. I bought these back in Sept 2009 and have been very pleased. My migraines have dropped by around 75% and have recommended this to other co-workers who suffer from migraines. Plus they look really fashionable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful, with disclaimer, September 17, 2011

I think some of the trick to these glasses is a slight magnification that is barely noticeable. I could be
wrong, but that's how it feels. Might be just a phase shift that gives that perception of feeling "closer" possibly.

Anyway, for me, I do think they add considerable value in simply adding contrast. I'm a trader and stare at numbers into the evening in low light and I do feel these add value. Happy with the purchase and would recommend.

Not much value added to watching movies from what I could tell, but that is not really the stated goal of the product.

My husband showed me these glasses on thinkgeek.com and I looked for them here on Amazon, to my amazement they were almost half the price so I had to get them especially that his birthday is Aug 12th... Thanks for shipping them so quickly too!! I am so happy! Hope he is satisfied as well!

I have had these for over a year now and they are one of the best purchases I have ever made. I look at a computer all day and used to get very fatigued eyes and headaches. Since wearing these I have noticed a considerable difference. These have really saved me from a lot of headaches.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't see how this earns more than 2 stars, January 2, 2011

I have gotten no satisfaction from this product. It creates a yellow shading of light from any source - but it does not help to sharpen images - in fact the lenses add a haze. Has not decreased eye strain.

I got the glasses and really didn't experience any difference in eye strain. I think if anything it might have a placebo effect on people but I dont know really how much they can actually do for you. I think they are overpriced for what you get and I bought one of the less expensive pairs. I think Gunnar optics uses big words and cool phrases to get their target audience to buy from them. I returned mine to amazon after using them for about a week. One word to describe my experience would be "disappointed"

3.0 out of 5 stars They sorta help, October 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Once I took them off however, my eyes I guess needed to re-adjust and I got my usual nauseous headache. So do they really work? well sorta, I'm going to give them a little more time but if I keep getting headaches after taking them off then they aren't worth it.

I really like the style of the frames, they fit perfectly and I barely know I am wearing them. The frames have those springs so when you open them they give a little and there is less of a chance of snapping them. They are metal frames too, nose area fits comfortably, again very light.

I'll update this review in a few weeks after using them some more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saved My Sanity, July 9, 2010

I had LASIK in mid-May of this year. I work at a desk with a computer for at least 40hrs a week, more like 60 during busy times.

About two weeks after the procedure, I was struggling horribly during the day. The natural healing process coupled with staring at a monitor was beginning to make me go crazy.

A friend who's an avid gamer recommended these glasses to me. Having already spent at least $50 on various eye drops, I figured it wouldn't hurt me to drop a few more. And WOW, I was not disappointed.

Wearing these glasses seems to have helped my dry eye immensely. After wearing them 2 days in a row at work I felt better already. Now I wear them daily and feel as though I come out of my office with less eyestrain. My eyes are not as tired or dry and I definitely think that these glasses helped. Healing of course plays a part, but as I said I noticed a difference immediately.
