Best book for trail riders in the Gunninson area

Poor choice
A very poor recreation guide. Most of the trail entries had little or no information at all. Pick something else.

I've ridden trails on horseback in the Gunnison National Forest for more than 40 years and this is by far the most useful (although not most comprehensive) book. Best detailed descriptions of how to find the trails, whether they are well marked or not, the terrain, etc. The view of the topology is especially useful for judging the viability and time required for particular trails. We lost this book a couple of years ago and I've been trying to replace it ever since. Just could not find it in any book store up there and didn't remember the publisher so that I could find it online. Luckily I saw a copy in a friend's cabin, copied down the info and was thrilled to find Amazon carried it. I snatched up the last 2 copies available so I know Amazon finds more!
