This is one of the best shooting magazines on the market today. Gives great reviews of low end and top end firearms

Guns and Ammo


Out of all the gun magazines out there, I believe that Guns and Ammo (G&A) is the best. I'm getting a subscription for my stepson this Christmas ( I'll get it sent to me so that I can read it first and then give it to him each month),


Highly recommended for gun enthusiasts.

GUNS & AMMO has been a part of the shooting scene in the USA for decades now. It's sort of the industry standard for people like me who are interested in shooting, collecting and reading about what's new in the field.

If you enjoy plinking, target shooting, hunting and collecting, you'll enjoy GUNS & AMMO. It is marketed toward the general shooting public.

Its authors keep track of new rifles, pistols, shotguns, scopes and related optics. Its illustrations are first class and the authors who contribute to GUNS & AMMO have always impressed me with their knowledge of the field.

Precision shooters, cast bullet shooters, military collectors, black powder shooters, cowboy action shooters, competitive shooters and law enforcement have other publicactions which are more specialized and tightly focused. GUNS & AMMO, however, always seems to have something of interest even to many of these more specialized members of the shooting public.

I like GUNS & AMMO and I gave it five stars.

Shortly after ordering Guns & Ammo at what I thought was the best price I discovered that the card inside the magazine offers a better price. I tried canceling the order with Amazon nine hours after I placed it but it was too late. I'm simply posting this so others will know that you can get Guns & Ammo for $10 per year via the card in the magazine.

Taking the guesswork out of firearms is the essential knowledge for safe handling of firearms. This is the main topic discussed and taught in Guns and Ammo.
Information regarding new weapons and history regarding the old weapons keeps a reader captured. Then, he or she is waiting for the next issue for more of the captivating information.

It's a great magazine to keep updated on new products and gun news. Covers a broad range of different products, so it's not the same thing every month. The writing is alright, but not amazing. The one thing that bugs the hell out of me is how every article talks about how amazing each product is. I can't imagine every product being as amazing as the authors make it sound, you can obviously tell who's writing their paychecks (the major firearm manufacturers). If you want a more subjective review of guns and other products, you may want to look for another magazine provider. But don't worry, it's still entertaining

I'd like to see more guns than rifles, and more articles about the latest and greatest, rather than repeating over-and-over that 911 model and it's variations.

I ordered this subscription in Dec 2010 & it is now Feb 7th & still not received my first mag. I wrote to then indicating that I saw the Jan issue and since my ETA on the 1st mag was Feb 2011 can I buy the Jan issue if I was not going to receive it. No attempt to answer my question. I am totally dis-satisfied with this mag and will not ever buy it again. Also, read on the web that they have no real evidence for evaluating ammo since they use non-scientific means in doing so and have no clue on ballistics.....THIS WILL BE MY LAST YEAR ORDERING THIS RAG

First of all, this review has nothing to do with the magazine itself, just the subscription delivery. I ordered my subscription in early September and have not received a single issue. I send in the inquiry, and was guaranteed the first item by Nov. 17. Two days later still no magazines in site and no apologies or e-mails from the subscription service provider MagazinesOutlet.com. If you are interested in reading your magazines, DO NOT buy subscription via AMAZON suppliers!

i subcribed to this magazine to send to my father for his birthday. i ordered in mid august and it is now october and no word from them yet...no magazine...i have many subscriptions and this is the only one that hasnt shipped in an appropriate amount of time! grrr
