Review
"I can see this series of books being very effective in teaching our children to stay out of gangs and away from guns. I can hardly wait to have one of our forth or fifth graders turn this book into a rap song and rap it to our school. Don't limit your exposure to just the elementary market with this series. I can see that this series would be very useful in the secondary education market also. It is just like the emergency room at a hospital... prevention is very important but with the urgent needs of our older children in regards to these topics... we must apply dressings directly to the wound! You must direct your efforts not only to elementary schools but also to our middle schools and junior high schools." --

The 200 copies I ordered arrived two days ago and I am amazing to see the interest children ages 6-10 have in them! I have sent copies to Sheila Rosart National Coordinator for the Million Mom March 2000 and various organizations in and around the country. I hope that this endeaver will bring your work the exposure it deserves. --

From the Publisher
GUNS ARE NOT FOR FUN is part of a wonderful series of books that will teach our children not to experiment with guns and to stay out of gangs. Unlike any other book on the market this book approaches this topic by using real pictures. Our children are overwhelmed by the violence that they see in the media. By using photographs of real children and real guns or children will be able to understand the valid importance of this lesson This writers very creative use of rhyme will make this serious topic easier for our children to listen to and comprehend. I have no doubt that once this series is put to use in our classrooms it will help children understand the real damages that guns cause. This book will save lives!
