Never Pester Chester: After Chester asks two ruffians, Stobo and Treavitt, to stop bothering some Dodge City ladies, he is dragged behind a horse and left for dead. Doc feels Chester's condition is critical and Matt blames himself for sending Chester to do his job. Not knowing whether his friend will live or die, Matt goes after the two men with blind vengence.
Kitty Lost: Rachmil is a persistent Eastern visitor who sets his sights on Kitty, and convinces her to accompany him out on the Kansas prairie for a romantic moonlight buggy ride. When Kitty fails to show up for several appointments the next morning Matt and Chester discover she never returned from her late night ride and the two set out to find her.
Claustrophobia: Pig farmer Olie Ridgers is being driven off his land by two dishonest cattlemen. They have already killed a farmer for his land, and now plan on removing Olie. While Olie is enjoying a well-earned holiday in Dodge, he receives word that someone has shot his mule and all his pigs. Olie, not one to stand still for this, reacts violently against the culprits.
Dirt: Nat, a wealthy rancher celebrating his last night as a bachelor, is surprised by his ex-lover Beulah, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Beulah, unaware of Nat's plan to marry, is finally told and exits gracefully. Nat's future brother-in-law disapproves of his life style, and when Nat is shot, Matt has several suspects to question.
