Gunsmoke Collector's Edition (Never Pester Chester, Kitty Lost, Claustrophobia, and Dirt)

These episodes are from Gunsmoke: Season Three. They are: 1) Never Pester Chester. A great episode and a heart warming episode as well. Matt sends Chester out to handle two drunk cowboys. The cowboys end up getting the best of Chester by throwing a rope around him and dragging him behind their horses. This nearly kills Chester. Matt is so angry and feels really guilty about what happened that he ends up going after the two cowboys. He ties one to a horse and sends him back to Dodge that way, the other named Bobo (actor: Buddy Bear) gets hot stew thrown in his face by Matt. The ending of this episode is very sweet with Matt and Chester to the point where Chester feels that he should leave Dodge and Matt tells him how much he needs Chester around. 2)Kitty Lost: A hilarious episode featuring Kitty and a eastern stranger. The eastern stranger takes Kitty for a nightly moon light buggy ride, well the next morning Chester, Matt and Doc realize Kitty never came back. So Chester and Matt go out looking for her and the stranger. Well it turns out that the buggy broke an axel and the stranger, being from the east doesn't know how to fix it. So they spend the night out on the prarie with Kitty constantly yelling at him because the reason they broke the axel was because she slapped him when he tried to kiss her. Then Matt and Chester find them and the stranger, not knowing who they are, tells Matt and Chester that Kitty is his wife. This is just a funny episode and great to watch. 3)Claustrophobia: Not the best episode. Chester and Matt are out riding and they find a shack with a dead man in it. Well not much with what they could do, they bury the man and continue riding back to Dodge. They then run into a pig farmer and his close buddy. They tell Matt and Chester that they will be going out to Dodge for some drinking since it will be the farmer's first time in a real town. Well they find out in Dodge that the farmer's wagon had been burned and the pigs killed. The farmer goes on a rampage since he knows who did it, two men who wanted out of the area. He kills both men and gets arrested for it. He goes to trial and is sentenece to life behind bars. The Farmer's buddy knowing that his friend is Claustrophobic and would rather die then be behind four walls locked up, gives his friend a gun and the farmer kills himself inside the jail. 4)Dirt: I do not like this episode at all. A big rich rancher is getting married, however a young poor women with whom the rancher is friends with doesn't approve. So after the wedding she tries to kill the rancher. However she doesn't do it and the rancher lives. At the end she is found out by Matt and Chester, the rancher finding out who shot him and why decides to divorce is new wife as she and her whole family are leaving Kansas, and the Rancher pays the poor women's bail out charge and decides to not press charges but says he will continue to be friends with her dispite what she did.
