I truly have nothing to add to the other reviews here, except to affirm that I am totally in love with her voice!

These are classic club beats with trance overtures and vocals, a breathtaking combination.

This album is definitely better than their first one (Mind fruit). It is longer, better organized, and sounds more refined. Of course if you really get to like them, like me, youll be happy with both of their albums. But this depends on what type of music youre searching for. If youre looking for dance music or hi energy Scooter beats, this album is not for you. This is softer stuff. I like to call their style of music "sensual techno".

If you're longing for a great music for tranquility & seenity. This is the answer !! "GURU MOTHER" is the kind of album that's rich vocally as well as melodically. Kirsty Hawkshaw's angelic voice is a cure for the soul.

In addition, this album offers something differemt than your stereo-typical boring "meditation" music. OPUS III trancends an ambient/trance genre to the next level. How often you do find a record which is ambient/trance oriented but deliver a sense of 'peacefullness' & 'bliss' at the same time ?

Most of trance album outhere are either full of dull-repetitive techno/thumping beats. This one is definitely NOT that kind !! I highly recommended this OPUS III album. Especially if you like ambient genre like: BT. Peace !!

Opus 3's "Guru Mother" is a vivid CD of amazing techno and ambient songs that pulses like the heart of an eagle soaring in the sun. The bright glory and heat of the upbeat jams will melt your wax and cause you to fall into the aqua-smooth realms of the latter songs. When this CD first came out, where was the radio play? Some of these songs are incredibly attractive- such as "Dreaming of Now" and "When You Made the Mountain". This CD is the biggest chunk of gold that somehow fell through the pan. If Jimi Hendix went techno and had a female singer, it'd probably sound something like this. One very delicious, extraordinary CD.

This is one of the best things to listen to when you want to relax, meditate, or create art. The music is very soothing. I recommend it to anyone who likes chill-out electronica or even new age.

There is some really nice stuff on this album. It is worth a bit of a hunt to acquire. Her voice is one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. And her voice flows in unison to some interesting electronica. It still sounds modern after all these years.

This is what techno should sound like when some serious thought is put into it. This album is done with real artistry and feel.
Opus III has always been the sh__! I've had this cd for some time now and I hope to hear something from them soon! Mind Fruit is classic as well.

Impressive compsition of soothing electronica. This is a group that realizes the need for interesting textures in this particular genre. The ethereal quality of the vocalist adds to this ambient work of art. I'm not giving five stars for the fact that a few tracks evolve into redudancy.

I was on YouTube trying desperately to find the artist and the songs that lingered in my head from my early club days at south beach the night club here in Houston. This club used to have video monitors embedded in the walls so that club goers could dance on the dance floor while they watched the videos or just simply sit down and watch the videos. I remember a woman with horses in the video and as I tried to remember the song, the words "Hand In Hand" kept resurfacing in my head. I finally found the video to this song and others by Opus 111 and went online immediately to purchase the cd. It has resurrected instant memories my glory days in my early twenties when God was a dj and we were his followers on the dance floor. This cd is stellar and racks up there with best of dance music for the 21st century.

This disc was very often on repeat an entire night during "sessions" with a past girlfriend. ("Guru Mother" was the perfect antidote to her rather trying personality). I was introduced to this recording by a friend of mine in an attempt of his to "update" my music library. Well, it worked. Very soothing, mellow and sensual. Seamless. I later tried their first release "Mind Fruit" and was disappointed. I am looking forward to a new release from Opus III, should they ever get around to it.
