Should be an example under "Under appreciated.",

"Gusto," is definitely an odd ball, but it doesn't stop it from being bad. There are some pretty poppy moments, but ironically it is the best song writing they've done. There's songs on here that don't even sound "punk," but the songs rule. If you're a fan of lots of music but also have a strong love for punk rock, as I do, you might fall in love with this album as I have. I think the song "Lemon Water," is hilarious. Right from the beginning you'll know this isn't familiar Guttermouth, and for some that'll be great, but unfortunately many people want to just hear the same record again and again. I too, like the majority of Guttermouth fans, believe "Musical Monkey" is the best album, but it doesn't mean they never made good albums again. Furthermore, it's appropriate to ask could they have topped it had they wrote songs the same way? "Gorgeous" bridged "Covered With Ants" perfectly. As mentioned before if you're a fan of other music AND liked "Covered With Ants," you're almost guaranteed to like this album.

I was amazed when I saw all the great reviews of this album. I thought did I buy the same cd there mentioning on the web site and the answer is unfortunatly yes. I have been a Guttermouth fan for a long time now. I go to there shows allmost everytime they come and have met the band several times. Some of there older cds are punk rock classics like musical monkey and full length. Anyone who has been a fan of there music for awhile has noticed that there music has evolved into more of a pop sound from cd to cd. It has gotten so bad they might as well be on the same page as blink-182. They lost there edge. One of there claim to fame is there overtly offensive music. The most offenive song on it is where he talks about peeing in the shower. I still have a lot of respect for the band though. I went to there tour for this cd because they put on an awesome live show. I was very releaved to hear Mark himself tell the audience that he knows the cd blows and he wont subject us to it. Eat your face returned more to there classic roots but still is not as good as there early albums. If you get a chance go to one of there shows. They rock.

This isn't the Guttermouth I know, I waited a long time to get this cd, it's finally released and I get this. If you hvae never heard Guttermouth you'd be much better with "Musical Monkey" or any of their older albums. I guess this album isn't THAT BAD as to get 1 star, but it just shows my huge disappointment
