About the Author

Fouad B. Michael, M.D. was born in Palestine (now Israel) to Egyptian parents. He received an M.D. degree from Cairo University in 1961 and completed internships and residencies both in Egypt and the United States. He was an ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor in private practice for twenty-five years in Rockville Centre, New York. He has also taught at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City. He is now living in Charlottesville, Virginia, pursuing his interests in classical music, sculpture, reading and writing in the serene surroundings of the Blue Ridge Mountains and making use of what a great university town has to offer.
