This is truly an amazing CD from a remarkable musician. No matter what your favorite genre of music may be, this CD has something for everyone. From the beautiful upper register on "Black Rose" to the powerful primal guitar and vocals on Drowning, this CD will not let you down. The guitar riffs on "Hollywood" show he knows how to jam as well. From the beginning to the end, you will hear more diversity than you've ever heard on one CD.

It's a rare thing in 2005 to find a CD you can play from end to end and enjoy all of it... but this is one of those rare ones indeed! Marc Eric is a phenomenal guitar player who also has something to say lyrically - - - Buy this record immediately!

I discovered Marc's music (like most everyone else) in the Stu Ungar story/High Roller movie. At first listen, you'll hear the masters: Stevie Ray, Jimi as well as acoustic Page. The overall production is very warm, not eq'd to death. The more you listen though, the more you'll hear a very unique voice & style that comes through. Buy it and support a musician who actually plays his instrument.

If you like Kid Rock, you will love Marc Eric. If you have ever bought a CD and only get one or two songs that are good, you won't be let down by this one, every song on the CD is great.

If you buy this CD you got to get High Roller the movie as well or vice versa. The music fits so good in it. The lyrics are great and the riffs are awesome. My personal favorite song on the CD is Winds of Angels. You got to pick this CD up

After seeing the movie "Highroller", I immediately went to www.marceric.com to purchase my copy of "Gutshot Straight". For anyone who hasn't checked this guy out yet, I highly recommend doing so as this is one of the best CD's I've heard in a long time!!

It's difficult to single out one song over another. But "Fallin In" (Opening song for "Highroller") is an obvious highlight, "Hollywood" will blow away all you guitar fanatics and "Black Rose" is a melodic, beautiful song.

This album is representative of so many musical genres, but especially those looking for that hard hitting, guitar rock of the 1970's era.

Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews (can't say that anymore), but this is one exception that I had to make.

I watched the movie "High Roller" but soon found myself more interested in the music than the movie! Once I found Marc's web site, I couldn't stop listening so I immediately ordered the CD. All of the songs are truly moving and beautifully balanced with inspirational lyrics, great vocals, and even greater guitar work.

Trust me when I say that this is the rock and roll music you wish you could hear but just can't find anymore these days. You can't go wrong with this CD. It has something to offer for everyone and is by far the best CD I have bought in a very LONG time!

Bottom line - Marc Eric's "Gutshot Straight" is an absolute must have for all true rock and roll fans!

With all the sound-alike bands out there, this album comes as a breath of fresh air! It has a "real"/un-commercialized by record company feel. it's like having Bono and Jimi Hendrix together!

I Listened to his samples on his website and was blown away! Listen to "Black Rose", you will fall in love with that song. I play it when i'm on the road, stuck in traffic, and it takes me somewhere else...

Most music today lacks, this artist has that classic rock magic that has long been missing.

I first heard the songs from Gutshot Straight when watching the movie "High Roller". I knew right away that I was hearing some great music. I actually thought that perhaps I was hearing some U2 songs from a new album or something, but it was Marc Eric singing, not Bono!

By coincidence I received the Gutshot Straight album on the same day that I got the new U2 album "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". So I loaded both of them into my iTunes playlist and listened to them back to back a couple of times while working on a project in my office.

I was really surprised that I liked the album "Gutshot Straight" way more than I liked the U2 album! Here was a completely unknown singer and band, and they blew away the U2 album, and U2 happens to be one of my favorite bands! Since then I have listed to "Gutshot Straight" many times and it has only gotten better each time I listen to it.

If you are a fan of intelligent lyrics, wonderful vocals, and great song craft and guitar work, you will not regret getting Marc Eric's "Gutshot Straight". For me, it goes in the top ten albums of the year, and I buy a lot of music!

Watched the Movie " High Roller" and heard this music and was
very interested in who this was. So I logged onto the net and
found this guitarist Marc Eric, Sent off for the CD and was
highly impressed with his style, from hard cutting riffs to smooth
mellow ballads this guy has it all, great music to cruise in your
automobile to.I Only wish there was more out there like this. I highly recommend this to people who like their Rock And Roll
