This book came into my life when I was trying to decide whether to take off on my own to travel around the world. The tips and realistic advice about women traveling indepentently inspired me to pursue my travel dream. Marybeth Bond has a writing style that instantly makes you feel comfortable. She explains the ins and outs of travel in a way that makes it all seem possible. I would recommend the book to anyone considering a trip abroad on her own.

Gutsy Women is packed with useful advice delivered in a readable, reassuring and fun way so this is the perfect little gift for the gal going abroad - or even just aspiring to. Travelers Tales have published a whole series of these tips books which are great fun to dip into and I especially love the case histories, lists and advice boxes.
