I live in Northern Illinois. I installed Gutter Screens on my garage three years ago. I worried that the netting on the top would rip or become brittle in the sun but the product is still intact and still looks brand new. Not one leaf or helicoper or pine needle has gotten through. Now that I have checked the product's preformance I installed Gutter Guards on my house. Istallation is so easy - a child could do it. I have five inch gutters on the garage and six inch gutters on my house and it works on both. Your gutters will still capture the rain in heavy downpours. You will be more than pleased with the results. You will recommend this product to your neighbors. I do.

I installed the diamond hole style ones on my home to test and they worked great - just did 5 of them. I later ordered more and when they arrived I noticed they were different (round holes instead of diamond shape holes). I just figured they would work the same however the water overshot the rain gutter and flooded my basement on these units. They were also harder to snap on then the original diamond shape ones I first purchased. Who would figure a round hole would be less effective than the diamond shape holes? I ended up pulling them and found the diamond shape holes and these worked great. I chalked it up as a lesson well learned.

We ordered and installed these gutter guards. They fit well and have a screen glued over the perforated plastic base. It will definately keep out leaves. Time will tell if it keeps out pine needles. I would recommend them for the price, quick delivery and ease of installation.
