Disappointing
I expected to see lots of very good paintings by this artist but after reading this and other books about him I realize that there were just a few really good paintings done by the artist who had so much promise and opportunities. As a student of Henri and being in an exceptional group of students that included Edward Hopper you would expect him to have a long and...

I expected to see lots of very good paintings by this artist but after reading this and other books about him I realize that there were just a few really good paintings done by the artist who had so much promise and opportunities. As a student of Henri and being in an exceptional group of students that included Edward Hopper you would expect him to have a long and outstanding career. Perhaps his life would be more interesting to a psychologist.

Years ago, when I studied Ed Hopper, I learned about Du Bois. I wished for a great book on Du Bois and now it is here!
