Guy Rose is no wallflower......,

I happened upon this book yesterday in a LARGE westcoast bookstore. What a find! Not only did I read a fair portion of it while STANDING there (then made the purchase), but was astounded to learn that Mr. Rose was a local and truly exceptional impressionist! As to the quality of the physical book----impressive. The bindings, dustcover, paper quality, color and least of all, art work itself are first, first class! This book is not only for art lovers (and for the life of me I don't know why his name isn't out there with the other highest-regarded American impressionist painters), but for those in love with books and the, as I say, shear quality of this piece. William Gerdts, perhaps America's formost expert on the subject of impressionism, wrote the introduction.
