5.0 out of 5 stars The Indoor Gardener's Space Solution
Customer Video Review     Length:: 2:12 Mins
I love this plant stand. Notice in the video, the brackets I mention are not shown in the still pictures provided at the top of the product page. I don't know why that is, but you will definitely need to install the brackets. I only have four orchids on it right now, but can put six on it. If you have any keikis you'd like to share, let me...

3.0 out of 5 stars PRETTY BUT!!
It's very pretty but hard to assemble and hard to use as it is rickety. Not worth the money. Would be nice to have the same style but in solid materials.

I love this plant stand. Notice in the video, the brackets I mention are not shown in the still pictures provided at the top of the product page. I don't know why that is, but you will definitely need to install the brackets. I only have four orchids on it right now, but can put six on it. The package does not include a picture of the item, but does include line drawings posing as assembly instructions. Someone went to great lengths to demonstrate the little bitty Phillips screws on the stand, but didn't bother including all the shelves - I could only make out five. I reckon anyone who could decipher the instructions wouldn't need them anyway. The little bitty screws are pre-installed. You may need to adjust them. I only needed to adjust a couple. Anyway, the instructions are useless, but a little thought and patience are all you really need to assemble it.

I searched the B&M stores locally and couldn't find anything like this. The plant stands had only two or three shelves and were ridiculously expensive. The garden centers didn't have anything like this, either. I don't know what store would carry them, so if you're looking for something like this, go ahead and click "Add to Cart" and save yourself some hassle.

5.0 out of 5 stars 6-shelf plant stand, January 9, 2007

I have been very pleased with this purchase. The price is definitely right, and it looks handsome. You have to sort of guess at the assembly (the instructions barely exist) but once up and running it works exactly the way it says it will.

3.0 out of 5 stars Look but don't touch., May 13, 2007
This is an attractive plant stand, and the materials used in construction are adequate. But, fully assembled, it is unstable. There are parts which are not secured, and if moved or pushed upon the stand can partially collapse. I would not place anything valuable on this stand unless you go to the trouble of adding extra clamps to keep it stable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay once put together, January 3, 2010

It looks about the same as the picture, and if assembled properly it does sit well - stable. Shelves are a bit flimsier than I'd expect. Also the item is essentially "round", those shelves are in a spiral, which is a little hard to tell from the picture. And as I said, it's OK once assembled. But that's the thing. This was one of the most difficult things to assemble that I've ever attempted. Why? The lousy, and I mean HORRIBLE, directions. Just as you've read in the other reviews. The directions are actually misleading. You have to take apart some of what they've put together (primarily the nut on the bottom) in order to fit this together. The two larger pieces nest together, you'll note the 6 little feet it stands on - then you put the nut back on. And then the top with the final shelves, and the 2 brace pieces. Why they couldn't do an actual step by step instead of those stupid diagrams is beyond my comprehension.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ivy Plant Stand, November 25, 2007

Love this plant stand although it was a bit tricky to put together. The shelves do not hold very big plants so be aware of that. I was able to put a couple of small dish gardens. It looks great in my foyer.

While I would recommend ordering from this site, the delivery was a little slow and I wasn't thrilled that it was packed in foam popcorn. It took a while to figure out how to put it together, but once together, it does look like the picture.

I received the package in good time but rather it take its time than the crappy packaging... second: the thing itself is crap... the picture is deceiving. the leaves on it were not all painted and the ones that were, were sprayed over to other parts of the stand. making it look very tacky and cheap. 3rd: The instructions were not helpful at all and was missing all but one screw. The thing wasnt designed properly so even when you have it placed properly; it wobbles. I would have done better to save the money and just built it myself.

The picture only directions on this plant stand are unbelieveably complicated (Or I'm not spatially coordinated). but I stuck with it and finally succeeded. It was surprisingly sturdy and really looks great. Several people have commented on it. If you move it, it is apt to fall apart, so don't.

1.0 out of 5 stars Misassembled shelf, April 28, 2009
This ivy motif plant stand came assembled incorrectly, and since it was welded together, I had to use a hammer to break the weld so I could reassemble it correctly. Even with it assembled correctly now, it is still very flimsy. I would return it and ask for a refund if I wanted to go through the hassle of shipping it back.
