This largish (12-inch) cast resin representation of Shakyamuni Buddha came as an unexpected surprise. With a serene countenance and his hands in the "Earth-Touching Mudra," the air of calm repose emanating from this Buddha indicates that he has indeed overcome the power of illusions in his Enlightenment. The figure has characteristic elongated ears, indicating his heightened experience.
This Buddha's body comes in gold leaf. His robes are the color of wine, are detailed with lotus blossoms, and are hemmed with small faux jewels, emeralds and rubies.

Great statue, beautiful colors. I placed this near my shrine with my other Buddha statues for when I meditate. I wasn't crazy about the flowers along the rope at the bottom of the statue, but they're hardly noticeable. Otherwise great.
