3.0 out of 5 stars How To Do A Better Backhand Spring
This video is OK. I only shows you exercises. I wish it had shown how to do a backhand spring. But it is a great movie if you just want to focas on areas of your body that you need to get stronger to do a backhand spring. Overall it is a pretty good video!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exercises are Excellent!, February 2, 1999

This review is from: Gymnastics: Tumbling: How to do a Better Back-Handspring [VHS] (VHS Tape)
We are two girls from Holland, Warda and Marloes. We used to do gymnastics ourselves an we both teach this sport for a few years now. We think the video is very inspiring an witty for the children it is mend for. It was very nice to see that the children you used were not all oncoming miss and Mr. USA. This is an important factor in keep doing it every day and not dropping out after the first couple of days. The lesson here is made clear: slim is not the perfect image. Normally in this kind of video's you see the perfect woman with the perfect body who makes the perfect back-handspring. By the way: we call this a "flick-flack". We think that before you are going to teach a flick-flack the child has to be strong enough. Otherwise there will first be a lot of training. In this case your excersises are excellent. And of course you are right on when you improve your body strength you can do the flick-flack better but more important, it will improve all the other gymnastics elements in your tumbling. We hope your video will be a success in the US and other countries. END

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Video, Coach Wayne Really Break It Down, April 13, 2002
By
This review is from: Gymnastics: Tumbling: How to do a Better Back-Handspring [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Coach Wayne takes the back handspring and simply breaks it down into progressions. The exercises are simple to follow and there are closeups so you can really get the technique. This is a great video to break through any fear you may have of performing the skill. Coach Wayne also leads you through some fun conditioning, too. The quality of the video and the music are quite cheesy, but if you can get past it you'll be on your way to effectively learning the back handspring.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coach Wayne, February 17, 2003

This review is from: Gymnastics: Tumbling: How to do a Better Back-Handspring [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is very good. Coach wayne can be a little scary though. THe conditioning is really important and will help you. If you want to have someone spot you, do what i did, find someone you trust, like a parent. I would recommend this to anybody who is a cheerleader or gymnast.(I am a cheerleader myself). Some of the workouts are difficult and are hard to do. Just take it slowly and try your best. The best time to do this is in the summer, when you have lots of free time. You need to workout everday. Oh and one more thing, Be safe, have fun, and push it hard!

5.0 out of 5 stars Be a Champion!!!, October 29, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Gymnastics: Tumbling: How to do a Better Back-Handspring [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I think the nicest thing about the video is, is that it is exciting to watch, and you fire people up with your motivation talks: 'If you want to be a champion: you will have to work like a champion....' I like that. Plus there are moments that are very witty! Which is always good for kids! END
