Koudelka is one of few great masters of photography that know how to capture human energy. His photographs are simple, innocent, yet charged; you put the book down and in a while go back to see the images again and again. It is like an addiction. Amazing.

everything the above reviewer said. every time you look at it again, you find another layer of tension, so many things going on, so charged with actual life. can't imagine how someone could possibly be this good, to get all of it in one quick snap. total genius in the broadest sense of the word.
