Nonnie and Pepere enlist the help of their grandchildren, Sarah, age 12, and David, age 8, in their quest to return what they believe to be stolen artifacts. "I am a mother of two and aunt to four girls aged 8-13. My goal in writing Gypsy Jewels was to spark their thirst for history and reading, to help them love it as much as I do. Local history comes alive in a way that captures their imaginations, making them feel like they are living the adventure, and leaves them wanting to read more," said Nicole Reineke. "The characters are positive role models and easy to identify with."
