It's been 20 years since I first read this book, and I still have not forgotten the curiously spellbinding quality of it. An excellent book for children, it both entertains and gently explores delicate emotional issues. I'm looking forward to introducing my own daughters to this series.

I am 15 now and I read this book in third grade and have never forgotten it. There's something about this book that intrigues and makes it memorable.

I have never forgotten this book. I read this book for the first time 30 years ago and have just purchased it again. As a young girl, I can remember reading it over and over again! I can't wait to read it again. A classic novel that every girl will love!

I read these books when they first came out i was 6 or 7, I'm almost 30 now. I truly loved them. Great stories for any horse loving little girl.

I'm 13 and I've been looking for the Gypsy series scince I was 10! I've finally found it! It was a great horse lover book and good for any person to read. If you want a good short series this is the series!

this a lovely story about a relationship between two emotionally/physically
scarred beings:a teenage girl named wendy and a horse named gypsy.
wendy came to live with her aunt and uncle because wendy's father had to travel
for work and he did not wendy to be alone. the transition was hard for wendy but,
one day, these two found eachother and through the healing power of love and trust,they both discovered a better life;a life they could share together.
this is a great story for people who love horses. it also has some nice drawings
by marilyn hamann.

Read this book very young, just seeing the cover and the title reminds me of how much I loved this book and how deep the story runs that I have never forgotten it.

At the used book store, I lucked into finding all three in this series: GYPSY FROM NOWHERE, GYPSY AND NIMBLEFOOT, and GYPSY AND THE MOONSTONE STALLION. I snapped them up as they had that "look" to them, and I collect kid's horse books. My 10-year-old daughter LOVED these books, and was sad when she finished the third one, wishing they could continue. She said she thinks they are the best books she's ever read. Great girl/horse stories for that horse crazy stage many young girls go through. Highly recommended if you can find them. And again, publishers, bring these gems back in print!

Its about a girl named Wendy whose mother dies and now lives with her father. But her dad has to go on a business trip and cant take Wendy with him. So he drops her off at uncle Art and aunt Lauras house and has to live there for a year. Soon she finds an abandoned horse and names it Gypsy. When you read the whole book you will be AMAZED!!!!!!
