Fortunately, this book was free. I have always thought that authors were better-educated than the average person. This author has proven me wrong with her grammatical errors. The story would have been decent had I not had to try to see beyond the errors. People do not need to be led directly by the hand when reading a story. There was also a lot of off-topic drivel. Overall, don't buy the book.

I was intrigued by the premise, but quickly lost my urge to read on. When I tripped over the phrase "Her and her fiance had hiked...." In what corner of the English-speaking universe is that correct??!? Someone hire this would-be author an editor!

Juliet's work is easy to read, flows very nicely and is fast paced. I felt connected to the story. Anyone who has been fleeced, as I have, by the gypsy mentality will enjoy this and gain some insight at least to the point of relationship "beware."
The development of Barbara Baird and London Stiles characters fits the California scene. The book's timing is right on with Hollywood political intrigue. The creative blend of our current political reality combined with the Hollywood slime caught my imagination too. You will enjoy this book.

I found myself rooting for a former con artist because she was likable while other people in her world were not. The storyline kept my attention, I had to keep reading way too late into the wee hours to see what was going to happen. Did I say former con artist...her prices were a trifle high, don't know why her clients didn't notice. I think this is the first Lindsay Carter book but I didn't find it until after I read the second one...then I got a bit confused about what order to read the other ones in - helpful hint, if you number them it makes it a whole lot easier to read them in order.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. From the deceptive and alluring Therese Sanderson, to the corrupt and wicked political climbers, these characters were magnetic. An inside look at the dynamics of the Gypsy Clan and their intense loyalty that can quickly turn in the name of greed. Enough Hollywood glamour to keep it exciting and all set in the beauty of the Pacific Coast. Garrett Merino plays one against the other and ultimately loses all. Who gained the most from his death? And who had the most to lose?

Gypsy is a fantastic read with so many twists and turns. Even the most selfish, diabolical characters draw you in and intrigue you. The setting created by Juliet Dillon Clark in Malibu is one that I'm familiar with from my youth - so perfectly descriptive of the landmarks and ambiance - and I felt I was there actually watching the plot unfold. Ultimately, the characters' lies and betrayal catch up to each of them, but you'd never guess how until the very last page. This is a dynamic and intriguing book, perfect for avid mystery fans and casual readers alike. I'm definitely a fan and looking forward to reading more of Ms. Clark's work!

Gypsy....Terese....oh, what can you say about this gypsy wanna be--or was she a gypsy?! I guess you will have to read to find out for yourself!! Her family is about as dysfunctional as the average California family I guess, but then there are some severe twists and turns, and pretty soon you find yourself thinking your family is pretty normal!! I loved the California real estate inclusion, and found the details of the book eerily familiar!! ;-) All in all, a great read while lounging by the pool, or sick in bed with pneumonia....
