This is a great motion platform for flight simulation, and games. I use it with Flight Simulator X. It does not take as much motion as one might think to fool you into thinking you're really pitching and rolling in an aircraft. This is amazing because it's not a gimbal type motion platform. It's center mounted joy stick makes it feel as if you were flying a P-51 Mustang, or a fighter with a center stick. As you move the stick, the chair moves. That's cool!

4th Motion, the Gyroxus' manufacturer used the X-Box360 controller which has a rumble pack in it. The control arm does a nice job of conducting vibrations into the seat which can cause one to be forgiven for thinking the rumbler is inside the Gyroxus, but it's just coming from the hand controller. Pretty cool! :)

It was easy to assemble when it arrived. Only took about 20 minutes to put it together. Just put the feet on, seat back, and foot-rest, hook it up and away you go. :)

I bought this for my son as he is an avid xbox player-i guess i didn't read that it is not automated by electricity- he tried it out and felt as though it didnt really bring anything to the table for his gaming experience- it move exceptionally well with just small movement of your body- so it is well made and i believe it works well if you use it from the beginning of a new game (for the gaming experience)- however it just sits in the corner and takes up room now as my son doesnt use it

I have been trying the chair out with several games, but bought it primarily to play racing games with. I am a rather large guy, 6'1 and around 235. The chair is too small for me, but I probably should have known that by looking at the pictures. The real problem I have is that using the joystick to control your car is simply too akward to use to be able to play the game well. As an example, Dirt 3 is a game that requires precision control and a lot of concentration. Now imagine replacing the left thumb stick with an airplane type center joystick that not only controls the on screen car, but also shifts your physical body around. There is just no way to get an accurate control of the car. You can drive around the track, but don't expect to be competitive. I fully admit that this may just be my problem. If you were say, 5"8 and 135 lbs maybe the experience would be completly different. It is fun feeling your body move in the chair, and it is somewhat easier playing say a flying game, but for driving? No, at least not for over sized lunk heads like me.
