Editorial Reviews

Review
Mobb Deep s Prodigy has embraced the chaos, pain and disarray that s cursed much of his life and used to power an angry, pained, and ironically vital album, H.N.I.C. Part 2. Prodigy s physical self may be incarcerated, but his music has never sounded freer. --Vibe Magazine

Product Description
Prodigy is one half of the successful rap duo known as Mobb Deep. H.N.I.C. Pt. 2 promises to be the return of Prodigy fans and critics know and love. Look for Prodigy to drop his harsh reality-based rhymes about the darker side of urban life with an unbalanced and sedate flow. Prodigy has undoubtedly proved himself to be a visionary solo artist and H.N.I.C. Pt. 2 will further solidify his status as one of todays premier artists.

5.0 out of 5 stars Capital P, V.I.P. Bandana P....is Back!!, April 22, 2008
Yo this album is Fire..Prodigy really came hard with this one. Alchemist is at the top of his game with the beats. This is definately meant to be played in your car with the system. Every song is raw and has the gritty NY feel. Prodigy is the man, everyone should go cop it! Crazy

4.0 out of 5 stars 3rd solo is another nice one, April 28, 2008
By G$ "Z-Wad" (B-More, MD) - See all my reviews

Just 13 months since he released his "Return of the Mac", Prodigy returns with another solo to keep his fans in the mix while he serves out his jail term. Not as good as his "H.N.I.C." album (a classic - 5 stars in my opinion), this one is better than his last solo and close to 4.5 stars. Like always when you get an album form the Mobb or P, it's gritty and street oriented, why change what you're good at? With 14 songs and a bonus DVD (that I haven't check out yet), you get a good deal of V.I.P. Alot of the songs are shorter, 2 verse songs but they're still good. I also like the fact you get the lyrics in the booklet as well. But back to the album contents, of the 14 songs, I'd say 5 of the songs are average, the other 9 are good, a few being real good but none that I'd say are classics. Guests aren't too heavy, appearing on 5 of the songs. Production is nice as well. Sid Roams does 5 songs, Alchemist does 4, Havoc & Apex each do 2 and Steve Sola does 1. A nice album for fans of the M-O-BB or fans of real street rap.

#1 - 7
#2 - 9 (nice beat)
#3 - 8
#4 - 8.5
#5 - 9 (tight beat)
#6 - 8 (annoying hook)
#7 - 8.5 (f/ Twin Gambino -- nice relaxing beat)
#8 - 9 (deeper song)
#9 - 7.5 (f/ Un Pacino)
#10 - 7.5 (f/ Twin Gambino, they took Cormega's verse off -- anoying hook)
#11 - 7
#12 - 9 (f/ Big Noyd -- nice beat)
#13 - 8.5 (f/ Un Pacino & Havoc -- nice beat)
#14 - (Remix of #6 with it translated into Spaninsh)

5.0 out of 5 stars P's album is on fire, April 22, 2008
This is P back to his roots only we're in 2008 and P has evolved. If you like mobb deep and the first HNIC album you're really going to enjoy this one, pick it up it's a shure shot, grimey grimey grimey!!
Oh and for the guy that wrote a review(timetorise) and said it was boring, you abviously don't who what the hell you're talking about, why do you even bother writing a review espacially if you have no idea what you're listening to.
