Capital P, V.I.P. Bandana P....is Back!!,

Yo this album is Fire..Prodigy really came hard with this one. Alchemist is at the top of his game with the beats. This is definately meant to be played in your car with the system. Every song is raw and has the gritty NY feel. Prodigy is the man, everyone should go cop it! Crazy

This is P back to his roots only we're in 2008 and P has evolved. If you like mobb deep and the first HNIC album you're really going to enjoy this one, pick it up it's a shure shot, grimey grimey grimey!!
Oh and for the guy that wrote a review(timetorise) and said it was boring, you abviously don't who what the hell you're talking about, why do you even bother writing a review espacially if you have no idea what you're listening to.

N.I.C., back with a vengence!,
This review is from: H.N.I.C., Pt. 2 (Audio CD)
P, did it again and I'm not surprised. This album is straight fire from start to finish. The album has 14 tracks which is the right formula; hate long 18 to 22 track albums. Lyrical, capital "P" is still is on top of his game complimented with an array of banging beats. This is East Coast hardcore G-rap at It's best. This masterpiece will not get airtime, but the streets is not sleeping on this. Pick up this album and support the "Mayor of tha Murda, Murda."

This album is the sequel to HNIC, Prodigy's first well-received album. Prodigy, is 1/2 the hip hop group, Mobb Deep, who are well known for their dark, and gutter lyrics, with stripped-down, east-coast production to go along with it. With this album, Prodigy gives his fans an in-depth look into his mind. Themes range from Illuminati conspiracies to street life, to Sean Bell, to typical Mobb Deep-like boasting.
The way Prodigy rhymes are different on a lot of these songs. On the single, "The Life", he rhymes the same way he did on early Mobb Deep albums, such as The Infamous, and Hell on Earth. The flow on this song is sick, untouchable, and is much to the liking of fans that prefer the way he spat rhymes back then. On songs, like "I Want Out," "Real Power is People", and "Click Clack," his style is reminiscent to his style on the mixtape, "Return of the Mac (that being laid back, and a slower, haunting style). Production on this album is handled by Apex (produced 50 Cent's single, I Get Money), Sid Roams (produced for The Infamous Mobb and Dilated Peoples), The Alchemist, and Havoc. The Alchemist provides more eerie, and urgent-themed beats than he did on RotM. Sid Roams provide the dark, haunting beats, very fitting for Prodigy's dark lyrics. On the Sid Roams-produced song, "ABC," the theme is Prodigy vs. crooked cops. Prodigy himself stated that he wanted to keep the list of producers simple, where there's not a song on the album where you'll want to skip. The album is consistent from beginning to end. Guests on the album include Un Pacino, Havoc, and Twin Gambino. They all do their thing (especially on the epic song, "I Want Out", a perfect way to end the album). Cormega was supposed to be a guest, (you'll see his verse in the booklet) on the song "When I See U", but you'll only hear P spit his 2 verses on that song. Does this album live up to Return of the Mac? Well, I'd say that they're on the same level, which is a good thing, considering that RotM was already a great album. If you're a huge Mobb Deep fan, and enjoyed RotM, you'd be hard-pressed not to keep this album in heavy rotation. If not, it's still definitely worth a listen if you're a hip hop fan.

FREE P. Not one weak track, stellar production, vicious bars. He could have been a bit more political. Addresses Sean Bell - Field Marshall P.

3rd solo is another nice one,

Just 13 months since he released his "Return of the Mac", Prodigy returns with another solo to keep his fans in the mix while he serves out his jail term. Not as good as his "H.N.I.C." album (a classic - 5 stars in my opinion), this one is better than his last solo and close to 4.5 stars. Like always when you get an album form the Mobb or P, it's gritty and street oriented, why change what you're good at? With 14 songs and a bonus DVD (that I haven't check out yet), you get a good deal of V.I.P. Alot of the songs are shorter, 2 verse songs but they're still good. I also like the fact you get the lyrics in the booklet as well. But back to the album contents, of the 14 songs, I'd say 5 of the songs are average, the other 9 are good, a few being real good but none that I'd say are classics. Guests aren't too heavy, appearing on 5 of the songs. Production is nice as well. Sid Roams does 5 songs, Alchemist does 4, Havoc & Apex each do 2 and Steve Sola does 1. A nice album for fans of the M-O-BB or fans of real street rap.

This is a pretty solid follow-up but you can't really compare this album to the first H.N.I.C. Alchemist does his thing on the production but this album doesn't quite fill the shoes of the first solo disk from Prodigy. I actually liked Return of the Macc better. This is however still a good album. Definitely recommend this to any Mobb Deep fan.
