There is something truly amazing about the motivating power of dissatisfaction. After decades of watching Hollywood fail at adapting Lovecraft, fans started taking matters into their own hands. And not just American fans, which is what makes this collection from Lurker Films such a treat. Of the three adaptations of Pickman's Model included, the foreign versions are the most delightful. A tale of ghoulish deeds such as this need not be tied down to a single locale or time period, so seeing it in modern day Chile or Italy is just as effective as Lovecraft's original New England setting.
This is a wonderful collection of adaptations and another excellent DVD from Lurker Films. Bravo!
