The second issue of H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror is dedicated to classic fantasy writer Richard Matheson, presenting an original story, interview, and critical overview of his movies. An additional 11 stories fill out the issue, including work by such luminaries as Tanith Lee, Ray Russell, Chris Bunch, a classic reprint from E. Hoffman Price, and much more. Plus all the usual features by editor Marvin Kaye, book reviewer Craig Shaw Gardner, and film critic Greg Lamberson. Plus poetry by H.P. Lovecraft, Lynn Jamneck, and Mike Allen. Rounding out the issue is a fine selection of artwork by Steve Hickman (cover), Allen Koszowski, Alex McVey, Britt Spencer, George H. Scithers, Mike Dublisch, and David Grilla.
Lynne Jamneck is a transplanted South African who lives in Auckland, New Zealand. Short listed for the Sir Julius Vogel and Lambda Awards, she has published short fiction in various markets, including Fantastique Unfettered, Jabberwocky Magazine, H.P. Lovecraft's Magazine of Horror, So Fey: Queer Fairy Fiction and Spicy Slipstream Stories.
For Lethe Press, she edited, selected and introduced the SF anthology, Periphery, which will be re-released early in 2012.
Lynne is currently doing an MA in English Literature at the University of Auckland, unlocking the secrets to Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. She is writing her first speculative novel, a conglomerate novel featuring a lost protagonist and a city of secrets.
