My husband has worn these shoes nearly daily since June 2010. They still fit like new and show little wear. They are comfortable with and without socks and give his feet the ventilation he needs to keep his feet cool. At work he is on his feet most of the time and these have proven to be great work shoes. Although employees are not permitted to wear "sandals," these shoes look so good that managers have only expressed interest. In fact, he is complimented on these shoes whereever he goes. I expect we will buy another pair eventually. It's just a shame they don't come in black. Worth every penny!

I am ordering my third pair of Trask Fisherman Sandels, they are a great shoe, living in the Northwest (rain) I put them on in April and take them off in October. They are comfortable and come in large sizes. Only problem area is the finish starts deteriorating in spite of polishing and the velcro came fail, in that case all you can do is throw them out. Overall, a great sandel that can be worn for all occasions.

Nicest looking fisherman sandals around. Review is for the lighter brown.,

Pros: Very nice looking; attractive leather outer and smooth leather insole Far less clunky than your typical fishermans sandal. High quality materials very well put together. Comfortable immediately, with nice padding around the ankle. If you are looking for more dressy but still casual summer footware, these are great.
Possible concerns: I've had these less than a month, so I can't say how they will hold up. The outersole material seems durable, but is pretty thin. The only adjustment on the shoe is the top strap fixed by a rectangle of velcro; mine fit fine now but if the leather stretches over time there will be little I'll be able to do about it. I've had velcro wear out over time on other shoes, and there is not a whole lot of velcro here to begin with. No arch support, if that is important to you. I tend to like having built-in arch support, but so far I haven't had any problems. Then again, I have gone out walking all day in these. |
