For anyone curious, Wal-Mart cut my lenses for only 30$ and a 10$ cutting fee (15$ per lens) for plastic lenses, so 40$ total. I wanted to make sure the glasses could handle prescription lenses before I invested too much in glass or higher quality lenses but these ones work great. :)
They are great quality, very sturdy and came with a nice little pouch/ cleaner to put them in.
To get them cleanest, I put the glasses inside and clean that way.
They are a little dim, but you can't really tell. I wore them for three days before someone pointed out that they were tinted. They aren't any where close to being as dark as sunglasses.
I wear these glasses more than I probably should. It's practically a daily basis that you'll see me wearing them. I go out to eat and shop with them on sometimes. You get plenty of double takes! Ha ha.
I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend these glasses to anyone who has a use for them.
Price: At under four dollars and free shipping (I had Amazon Prime, but cost of shipping without one is under a buck), it beats any mall stores and carts pricing hands down. Also these glasses are not graded ( or have +/- vision), just to make that clear.
The way I use it: I'm near sighted and cannot read anything further than six feet. I use these glasses indoors while wearing contacts to look nerdy and switch to my Ray-Ban aviators when I'm outside. I also could make really dorky profile pictures on Facebook.
What could you could also do with it: Over time I gave the glasses to my little sister because she bugged me so much for them. For about $40-$50 at your local optometrist you could replace the lenses for prescription ones.
- For what you're paying for, it's a little fragile, this is where the glasses doesn't shine as much in terms of quality. But my glasses HAS NOT cracked on the arms yet or anywhere around, but I've been giving it a beating inside my backpack or inside the drawer of my desk. Just keep the glasses safe and not sit/step on it, you're good.
- As for the size, there is only one but fits me well. If the glasses that they give you when you watch a 3D movie at the theater these days fits you, then these glasses would fit you too.
(Note: The 3D glasses is just about half an inch longer than the Wayfarer, but at least you have an idea of how big it is.Read more ›
