5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Any Piercing

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
I got a monroe, and this is way more convenient than mixing up batches of salt water and dabbing on a piercing. It also does help tone down any itching you might have through the initial healing and does a good job of cleaning/drawing out crusties. It did dry out my skin in the surrounding area, but nothing a little lotion couldn't fix. I don't know if it's due solely...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have for Any Piercing, April 26, 2010

From the perspective of a very experienced piercee: My only experience with this product has been on my piercings. Years ago when my best friend and I got our navels pierced, this was the product that the tattoo parlor sold to clean our new piercings. Neither of us had ever used it before so we were not sure what to expect. I cannot tell you how much of an impact it played on the healing process. Our navels were healed months earlier than the estimated healing time period (8 months - 1 year I was told when I got it done) and we have never had a problem with our navels whatsoever. It is so sanitary because it is in a concealed can and very easy to use. We had friends with navel piercings whose navels were red and sore for weeks, but the soreness and redness for us diminished within seven to ten days.

When I got my cartilage done on both sides of my upper ears, the place (a different one) did not have H2Ocean and I thus used a different cleanser that I had used once before with minimal problems. One ear was okay, but the other ear was not (it ended up being because the piercer did not give enough room between the backing of the earring and my ear for normal swelling). Days after being pierced, it was hot to the touch, extremely swollen, abnormally painful, I had a low grade fever, and the next step was for my ear to secrete infected discharge. It was the weekend so I planned on going to the doctor that Monday, but in the meantime ran out and purchased H2Ocean after remembering my great experience with my navel hoping it would make things a little better. It did more than that. After one application, it immediately cooled my bad ear and by the end of the day the ear was less red, was cool to the touch, and the swelling went down almost completely. Twenty-four hours later, there was absolutely no swelling, pain, or redness and it looked like my other non-problematic ear. However, I even noticed a difference in that one! It showed actual signs of good healing and loosened normal discharge (the clear, pale yellow kind) that had solidified unlike the cheaper cleaner. Best of all with this experience with my cartilage, I did not need to go to my doctor after all!

DISCLAIMER: While I highly recommend this product due to its ability to heal piercings successfully, prevent/rid infections and keloids, and believe that it is the best cleaner for piercings on the market, there are couple of things people need to remember about piercings. Never clean more than directed - your body needs to take part in the healing process as well. Sometimes no matter which cleaner you use whether it be H2Ocean or something else, sometimes your body is more prone to reject piercings more than others, especially if you have a compromised immune system. Also, sometimes your body rejects the piercings no matter what you use due to sensitivity/allergy to the type of metal used in your piercing. If you are not sure whether or not this cleaner is helping to clear up your infection (or you are really uncertain if you even have an infection or not), do NOT remove the jewelry (it will close up and seal in the infection, winning you a possible stay in the hospital with an IV drip) and consult an experienced piercer and a physician immediately. If your infection is really advanced (please never let it get to that point), H2O Ocean may not be able to clear it up all by itself - it's a phenomenal cleaner, not an antibiotic.

5.0 out of 5 stars No more antibiotics!, August 15, 2006
This review is from: H2ocean-Piercing Aftercare Spray (4oz) (Misc.)
Two years after I had my cartilage pierced it was STILL red & swollen with an ugly bump that wouldn't go away! I finally asked my doctor what to do; he gave me an antibiotic ointment. That made it worse!! My friend suggested H2Ocean. After 3 DAYS my ear was completely healed! No more bump, no more swelling. I love this product and recommend it to everyone. I probably don't even need it anymore but I still use it once a week, just because it feels good.

Oh! It also helps get rid of acne! I read that in an amazon review, so I tried it and it works!!

Based on the other reviews I bought this stuff because my 7-week old nose piercing would get red from wearing makeup and sweating when working out. I also have a puppy who likes to lick my face/nose when I'm asleep so keeping my piercing clean is difficult at times. I got this in the mail today and within minutes the redness went away and my nose feels so much better! This is the best alternative to [trying to] soak your nose with a sea-salt solution and a washcloth. I would definitely keep this stuff around even if your piercing has already healed just to keep the area clean.

I have 14 piercings, and I swear by H2Ocean! I recommend this product to everyone I know-- it's sterile, pH-balanced, won't irritate piercings, is very convenient to carry in your purse/ etc, and is simple to use.

My directions: Spray your piercing with H2Ocean at least 4 times a day to sterilize and moisturize the area as long as your piercing is healing. When in the shower, wash your piercing with unscented, pH-balanced, anti-bacterial soap.

Never touch your piercing with dirty hands, never let anyone else touch your piercing with dirty hands/ etc, and don't be unhygienic in any way!

If you already have a piercing that is red, swollen, beginning to keloid-- stop what you a currently doing and begin this regimine! Soak a cotton ball in H2Ocean and hold it on the piercing for about 8 minutes-- this will make a huge difference!

This product is amazing! Get it, and you won't be sorry!!

xoxo

Aurora

5.0 out of 5 stars H2Ocean REALLY works, June 8, 2005
By
I bought H2Ocean on a whim, having recently gotten a cartilage piercing. I'd been using Provon to clean the piercing 2 times a day and doing the warm salt water soaks, etc. It was red and sore. The very first time I sprayed the H2Ocean on it the redness went down and the irritation and pain decreased to almost nothing. I found it to be well worth the money.

My wife had her nose pieced over 2 months ago. Within a few weeks it looked a little infected and a nasty looking inflammation appeared around the piercing (she knows the medical term for it, I don't). She cleaned it with sea salt up to 6 times a day which seemed to do nothing. I stumbled upon this product while searching for quality nose ring and read some of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I made the purchase but I was extremely skeptical. Well it's been about 3 days since she starting using it and the irritation has almost completely disappeared. I'm very impressed with this product! I think I earned some brownie points with my wife too.

5.0 out of 5 stars H20 After Piercing Spray, May 26, 2008
I would definitely recommend buying this product if you have any problems with your piercing healing.. keloids, infections, etc. I recently got my navel pierced about 6 months ago. It was doing fine and then got infected. I did everything I was told by the piercer... sea salt soaks, washing with antibacterial soap, etc. but nothing seemed to work! After failed attempts and considering taking out my barbell (which I didn't want to!), I bought this product. After only about 4 days of use, it is almost back to being healed and looks great! I will definitely buy more of this when I run out. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Product, July 19, 2007

This review is from: H2ocean-Piercing Aftercare Spray (4oz) (Misc.)
I bought this product for my frustrated nose piercing. I had only had it for about 2 months and a nasty bump popped up. I went to see the piercer to have it looked at and he said it was a keloid. He told me just to keep soaking it with my sea salt mixed with warm water. Anyone who has a nose piercing knows how much of a pain that is. It took to much time and was just an inconvenience. So I remembered the product H2ocean Body Piercing Spray that I used on my navel piercing. Found it here on Amazon and bought it. Not only does work but it just feels refreshing and clean. Within a week my annoying bump was gone. It's just a brilliant product and I suggest it for anyone with a piercing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful W/ Nose Piercing, August 4, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've had a lot of swelling issues since getting my nose pierced in February. I got this spray b/c it's more convenient than doing sea salt soaks several times a day. It helps remove the lymph (any crusty matter surrounding piercing during healing), and it has helped w/ the swelling and irritation. I had a piercing "bump" before I started using this, but I don't now. I would recommend this product.

After my nose piercing developed the "dreaded bump" I was pretty certain that I'd disfigured my face for life. A friend recommended H2Ocean and I can only try to express how incredibly relieved I am that this is a product that actually does what it says it will do. After about a month of using it two or three times a day, I am bump free and can finally enjoy my beautiful nose piercing!
