Paired this mobo with other components bought from Amazon.com for my daughter's (junior high) first
home-built PC. It worked well with an Intel Core i5 650 w/ integrated HD graphics, 2x 2GB
Corsair DDR3-1333 DIMMs, WD 1.5TB SATA HDD, Silverstone SG07B-W case (incl 600W PSU). It's
running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Future expansion plan incl a Nvidia GeForce GTX card,
and a slim SATA or USB 3.0 Blu-ray writer. Maybe more RAM.

Everything worked well out-of-the-box. It's surprisingly stable and quiet. Space is a little tight; needed some cable planning. The two Wi-Fi wires needed patience to get connected. However,
there seems to be some problem with the Wi-Fi driver. Internet download spped is only getting
0.8Mbps, upload is fine at 3Mbps. All our other Wi-Fi systems in the house are getting 13Mbps download and 3Mbps upload (ISP advertised 15Mbps dwnld, 3Mbps upld). This is after getting the latest 802.11n driver from Zotac web site. Also played with the 2 Wi-Fi antenna. Couldn't even
get an Internet connection with just one. Very annoying. Wish I can get this one issue fixed.
Googling found some buyer couldn't get Wi-Fi to work at all. Didn't find anyone having issue
just with dwnld speed being too slow.

Overall, a feature-rich, forward-looking, inexpensive, compact mobo for a SFF PC that can be
carried around at high school Science Fair. With USB 3.0 and 1.5TB HDD storage, should survive
high school without problem. Will likely use it as my home theater PC when she leaves for college.

I purchased this board since my old Gigabyte H55n board was malfunctioning and is now discontinued. Compared to the old board, the overclocking capabilities is atrocious. Since with the new Sandy Bridge CPUs, you can count out any firmware updates to this board. HOWEVER, this board works, and I've had no problems with it thus far. I has enabled a decent OC on my i7 875K around 3.2Ghz vs. the initial 2.93Ghz. It is feature packed with a ton of sata ports. I busted one port but thank goodness it wasn't the main sata_0 port, and due to the 5 remaining ports, I have more than enough "replacement" sata ports. If this occurred with the Gigabyte (4 sata only), I would be out 1 HDD. Overall, this is a solid working stock board that will work.

Everything works out of the gate in Linux, runs all 6 SATA ports perfectly.

My only complaint in that it doesn't seem to be able to boot from USB 3.0 devices plugged into the USB 3.0 ports. The USB 3.0 device will boot from the other 2.0 ports just fine (at 2.0 speeds), and USB 2.0 devices boot in the 3.0 Ports (at 2.0 speeds), just USB 3.0 devices in the 3.0 ports don't work for booting. The ports work fine inside the OS, and work at the correct speed, just not for booting. I believe this is an NEC 3.0 controller limitation, so maybe a fix will be available one day, but checking around, no NEC 3.0 seems to be able to boot 3.0 device yet.

Another weirdness is every time you add a harddrive, the bios "boot sequence" resets to all harddrives in numerical order, which is fine, you just need to make a mental note so you can set it back to whatever you want after it is installed. I'm sure it was programmed to do this, but I just found it a little counter-intuitive.

I've put 1 star because Zotac does not make motherboards in the USA anymore. There is no warranty for this product even though it is being sold as new. SabrePC was good and they replaced the first board which I had problems with. Both boards had clearly visible spots from condensation and a musty electronic smell to them. Also, they both had warped cds and a coil wine when the computer would process or use the HDD. The second board I received was quiet enough for me to keep it. This is the only decent LGA1156 board I could find at this price range so I didn't have much choice. At least it works.

Had to RMA the first one I received due to bad RAM slot(s) - two seperate sets of RAM wouldn't post. Received second mobo and it's working as it should. Also, SaberPC (the shipper) was nice to work with.
