Credible, but lacking passion, December 19, 2011
This review is from: HAARP - The Update: Angels Still Don't Play This HAARP (DVD)
This as an amature video made by Nick Begich, who authored a book of a similar title. Begich impresses with his knowledge on the subject, but was a little boastful. An authors self-bragging is one of my peeves. Even his "library" in the background had only one book with a title that was clearly readable. It was strategically place so as not be ignored and titled, "When Experts Speak". Despite his apparent attempts to compensate for his insecurities, Begich knows what he's talking about and you learn a decent amount about HAARP.
Here are other things about the video:
Bad (maybe good for you): The video described way more about military warfare than I'm personally interested in. Of course, HAARP is a military installation so I guess this is proper, however, I'm not interested in HAARP on that level. I'm interested in how it more directly could or is affect(ing) the average Joe in a normal lifetime.
Good: Weather manipulation and mind control are among the concerns that prompted me to investigate HAARP. Actually, the "mind control" part I didn't take too seriously. I always considered mind control kind of a joke that only works on weak minded. But after this video, I take it more seriously.
Bad: Ironically, I was unhappy with this video for its lack of speculation. I never realized how important speculation is until this video didn't have any. Generally speaking, we don't like speculation because there is no proof or evidence to support it. But, after this video, I realize we need SOME kind of speculation as a starting point. For example, Begich says we don't know what long-term effects changing our atmosphere will have on our planet. But then he fails to speculate. We're left with no ideas whatsoever; nothing to sink your teeth into or think about.
Good: You really trust that Bagich is presenting objective facts.
Bad: Too much objectivity leaves you without an emotional attachment or inspirational motivation. I got this video to learn more about what might be happening to our planet and ourselves because of HAARP. Well, yes, I know alot more about HAARP now, but I don't FEEL like I do. I almost feel like I'm still waiting for the video to get here.
Bottom line is that Begich is knowledgable and the go-to "expert" on HAARP. If you like objectivity and detachment, this video could be great. But if you're looking for something a little jucier, this isn't the video for you - especially if amature videos annoy. Begich good, video not so good. Maybe try his book instead. I'll be ordering the other HAARP videos in the next couple of months for comparison.
