This review is from: HALO 2009 Wave 2 - Series 5 Equipment Edition Master Chief Figure (Toy)
I am disappointed in this toy, we had bought it for a birthday gift for our son. We had a shipping problem, but not the mistake for the sender, our mail carrier sent it back for some reason, The sender did e-mailed me right away and told me it came back to them with "return to sender" on the package, and they sent it right back to us. The packaging was great, the shipping was not the seller's fault, I think we had a substitute mail carrier and if the items will not fit in the community mail box they are supposed to leave it at the door. I think the mail person returned it to sender instead!
The item itself, We are very diasppointed in. We have bought many "Halo" products and never had an item break like this one did. My son was upset. First the foot broke off, and then the weapon he holds broke off, it is supposed to snap on and off, the part that snaps broke. My son is gentle with his Halo toys, He takes very good care of them he was very upset that it broke, I was getting ready to use superglue to fix it for him when I was holding it another part fell off! I did not break it! A day later I became ill and could not do anything about it right away,so we decided that we are going to just purchase him another one,at another date, I feel very bad, this is the first time we have ever had a problem with anything breaking that we purchased from Amazon Website. I did not call or try to get it replaced, we had it for about 3 weeks before it broke, then i was not able to do anything in a timely manner because of my illlness so I did not try to replace it. So the toy was not fun because it broke. It has no educational value, but we knew that when we purchased it, it is supposed to be for fun, Our son likes to build and display his Halo guy's. This toy was not durable at all. I, for the first time have to give a not good review on a product. Maybe they would of replaced it if I had called but I feel it was my mistake for taking a long time to be able to give them a chance to do anything about it.

Not sure why a deployed gravlift would be covered by active camo...,

This is the active camoflauge variant of the normal Master Chief figure. It is intended to simulate the Chief when he picks up/uses said ability. In reality, it is the same mold, in my opinion, down to the battle damage on the breastplate, of the Master Chief figure that comes with the Spartan Laser. The only difference in the two characters is that instead of being painted and using different plastics, it is cast entirely in clear plastic.
However, I am a bit happier with this Master Chief than the other Chief that I own. Why? Because his legs don't (or haven't yet) fallen off due to the rear codpiece coming off. His articulation seems to be a bit tighter, in a good way, than that other Chief. Downsides... 1) Not sure why the gravlift is cast in clear plastic. If it was deployed, as its nature suggests, then it should be not covered by the camo. If it was undeployed and intended for carrying on the Chief, then it would be covered. 2) The Chief's hands are both too tight and just a touch too loose to properly carry the SMGs. I had to pry open his right hand for him to carry the weapon. The left hand is just a little too open to comfortably hold the other. 3) I really do not like how flimsy the SMGs are. While trying to get him to hold one in his right hand, I accidently broke the grip of the SMG. This, however, is not limited to just this figure, but all of the SMGs. Replacing it is pretty much impossible short of buying a new figure, due to the clear plastic nature of the weapon. I've tried gluing it, but it is still way too fragile. 4) One of the clear pegs intended for storage of the SMGs does not fit properly into the hole on his right leg. It fits fine in the left leg, but it seems the right leg hole is a bit too small.
