Great for summer, spring and even fall, such a great layer to add just enough to keep a wiggly big kid cozy at night and during naps!

They love that they can walk in the Early Walker Wearable Blankets & yet, they can tuck their feet in to keep warm in footless pjs.

Something I love about the sleepsack - it makes it very difficult for toddlers to hike their leg over the crib rail and climb out of bed. That is the main reason I continue to use them. Sure, having a blanket always on them is great too but the leg hiking is my main draw!

HALO® SleepSack® is well known for providing comfort and warmth to little babies. The wearable blanket provides warmth safely for those that can not sleep with blankets. The new line of products is designed to provide the coziness many love about the SleepSack®, but to an older set of kids. The Early Walker fits children to a maximum size of 36 pounds, while the Big Kids version fits children to a maximum of 46 inches tall. Obviously, children at these ages can wear blankets, but frequently those blankets have a way of being kicked off during the night. I know that I have checked on my children at night only to discover all their cozy blankets pushed to the side. During the summer months when the heat is unbearable this obviously isn't a concern. But I live in Minnesota and while it technically might be spring, it still definitely feels like winter.
My five year old donned this sleeping blanket sack to give it a try. I can't deny. It looks odd. It is just unlike anything I've ever seen anybody wear. That being said, my son loves it. He thinks of it as a parachute. He happily has been bounding across the house comfy and happy as ever. I received the Big Kids version in a size 5T, but I honestly thought it would be too small for him. I actually envisioned my three year old wearing it. But the sizes are really true to size. The 5T fit my 5 1/2 year old perfectly.

They are not pajamas within themselves, though of course I'm sure there will be children who will want to wear them alone. Instead the sack is there to provide extra warmth for when those covers get kicked to the floor. Or in my son's mind, the sack is there to give him super parachuting skills:)

The sack is easy to take on and off, though one thing that is a bit different is that the zipper zips down. Rather than zipping the zipper up, attach the pieces at the top and zip down. I thought this would prove to make putting on a bit difficult, but we haven't had any problems.

I wish this was 100% cotton, I think then I'd be in love. My son, almost 2 refuses to sleep in one spot and has moved to a big boy bed to make room for his little brother. This footed sleepsack was the answer to mom & dad getting sleep knowing our son would be able to get back into his bed since he LOVES LOVES LOVES sleepsacks. He may wear them to college. My only complaint is the synthetic fabric which is already pilling. I wish it was 100% cotton, but I could not find on on the market with feet holes and in a summer weight fabric.

The fabric is soft and light enough for summer. Kiddo was waking up bc he had kicked off, or rolled out of his blanket, with this on, he sleeps better so I am pretty happy with the purchase.
I have had some issues with the zipper coming apart at the top, but its still functional. It's been about a month so I'm not so sure how well it will hold up, hence 4 stars.
My son wears 18-24 months in most clothes- however this is much too long, so I fold the legs up. I intentionally bought it one size up thinking he'd grow into it, and that with the banded legs it wouldnt matter. The problem is his feet get stuck inside and he cant stand in his crib. I will probably buy the next size down.

I have a tall toddler (38") who just turned 2 years old and still has room to grown in these sleepsacks. He is getting better with the use of a blanket in his crib; however, I still like the fact that he can use the sleepsack to stay warm. I have always chosen the lightweight because the heavier sleepsacks where just that--too heavy for sleep time. We have rough winters but I still prefer the lightweight version. The fleece did not seem to breathe as well and had my little guy sweating at times. Unless your house is very cold in the winter, you may want to use the lightweight and get heavier weight pajamas.

My nearly 2 year old uses this daily. He is very active, and can't stay under a blanket a night, so this helps. I also think this has prevented him from trying to climb out of the crib.

The only (slight) negatives for this are: the foot holes are totally open, so he has to wear either footed PJs or socks since his feet don't stay tucked into the main part. Also, the polyester fabric pills quite a bit. Its not a hug problem, it just doesn't look as nice.

I wish these came in other colors-- blue with trucks or pink with cupcakes is just so gender specific-- I'd love to see some neutral ones with animals.
