5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little travel iron
Bought this iron for our cruise. It is small and compact, yet very effective in getting the job done. It's also a might little steam machine. Very pleased

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it.....
I was excited to receive this iron steamer, but when I tried to use the steamer, water would squirt out of it, soaking my clothing. The iron works ok, but the steamer does not work at all. First of all, there is a very small container for the water, second, you have to press the button repeatedly for steam to come out (like a regular iron). Not much steam comes out,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great if you know how to read, March 23, 2011

I bought this with just a bit of hesitation after reading a few of the negative reviews here. Turns out, this is a great product that has a few poor reviews from people who didn't read the directions.

It's small and light. Makes good steam and gets those packed clothes looking good again.

To the people who said it spits water: As it says in the directions, it may spray a few drops of water for the first few uses until the tank gets conditioned. It will also spit water if you try to repeatedly press the steam button more often than the once every three seconds, again as it says in the manual. Or if you don't let it heat up for 3 minutes, as it says in the instructions.

Unlike other irons, this one heats up on it's side (also in the instructions).

Use it right and it's a good tool.

bought this to replace a travel steamer. On recent trips, worked well as both an iron and a steamer. About as compact as it can be. Good buy for the money.

Not much steam comes out, but tons of water squirts out, soaking your clothes. I'm not happy with this product at all. I ended up buying the esteem steamer, which by the way is wonderful and it works better than my large in home steamer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice product, March 21, 2009
This review is from: HAMILTON BEACH Travel Iron with Steamer - 10090 (Housewares)
Nice, compact little travel iron. Just what I was looking for for my trip to Mexico. The handle swivels easily to change use from steamer to iron. I purchased from New York DVD because they had the best price; I was a little skeptical about purchasing an iron from a place called New York DVD but the shipping was fast and the product was in perfect condition. A bonus to the product is the little plastic cup they include for filling with water, and the lint brush attachment. I haven't used the brush yet but it appears to be a good one.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not that great., March 23, 2009

I bought this with the hopes I could steam out the wrinkles from my clothes. However the steamer doesn't work properly. It does put out steam but it spits out more water than anything else. I have tried multiple times to get it to work properly and it just keeps spitting out the water. The reason I did give it two stars is because I think the iron works fine and it is a good travel size.

I just bought this iron from a local retail store for the steamer but like another reviewer said, it didn't work very well as a steamer and just spit water on my clothes. Hardly any steam came out. I worked on my pants for 20 minutes and was still full of wrinkles. Don't waste your money. I'm returning mine.

A small, convenient travel iron. No big deal. It works, and it doesn't leak.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing travel iron, December 30, 2007
This review is from: HAMILTON BEACH Travel Iron with Steamer - 10090 (Housewares)
I am so disappointed with this travel iron/steamer! The product description sounded great: iron + steamer + lint brush. Wrong! The iron wouldn't heat up enough to get rid of any wrinkles, and the "steam" just leaked all over my clothes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Acceptable performance for the price, September 19, 2007
This review is from: HAMILTON BEACH Travel Iron with Steamer - 10090 (Housewares)
The Hamilton Beach Travel Iron offers acceptable performance for the price. The Black and Decker X30 was far superior, but that product has been discontinued.
