The Bahco handy paint pail holds up to 46-ounces, can be used with any paint or stain, and is ideal for professional or at home use. The pail's adjustable strap reduces fatigue in your arm, hand and fingers by supporting your hand comfortably and firmly against the pail's side. The strap can also be adjusted to let you attach the pail to your belt for convenient hands-free use. A built-in magnetic brush holder on the inside rim keeps your brush wet and in place while you move, reducing the risk of dripping paint when the brush is not in use. The built-in brush scraper helps you easily remove excess paint from the brush before each application, as well as protecting against messy drips down the side of the pail. The Handy Paint Pail was created in 2001 in classic Do-It-Yourself style. Mark Bergman was doing some painting around his house using the standard "coffee can" paint container. When Mark's hand began to tire, he designed a strap out of duct tape and the Handy Paint Pail was born. The built in bracket, magnetic brush holder, roller grid and tool and rag holder makes this multi-use pail the perfect answer for any project on or off a ladder. In 2008, Bercom made some changes and improvements to their existing products and expanded their product line, beginning with the color of the pails. Bercom believed that if they urge their customers to continuously change colors, why shouldn't they? Not to mention the new color was extremely eye catching! So, after five years of producing gray pails, Bercom changed the color to red. Following that trend, Bercom changed the color of the Pro Series Paint Pail, made it lighter in weight, lower in price, and re-named it the Handy Roller Pail. In addition, requests from customers wanting to attach the Roller Pail to a ladder led to the creation of the Handy Ladder Hook. Not only does this item secure the Handy Roller Pail or a standard paint can to any ladder, this mini-bungee can be used for many other applications. The most exciting and successful new product from Bercom in 2008, however, was the Handy Paint Cup. This new entry-level paint cup hit the ground in a dead sprint. Although it does not have all the features as the original Handy Paint Pail, it grants the customer the ability to afford something similar. This is an awesome little hand held paint pail. The disposable liners are readily available at Home Depot locally so that is a plus. I've used it with and without the liner and it washes up nicely if using common laxet type paints.

The magnet inside holds the brush so it isn't sitting in a full pail of paint, and is handy to always have the brush stay on the one side of the pail.

I never used one of these types of pails till someone recommended it, and I like it. I'm doing a ton of painting in my home(Trim/Walls/Ceilings/Etc) and I'm using this lots.

I wouldn't paint without it any more. I'm done with the sour cream etc. containers that caused trouble when painting. I recommend to use the liners too. Even if you feel that the liners are too expensive, they are worth a try. I found that they are actually easy to clean and can be reused - while the pail itself is hard to clean (tried to clean off some spills from the pail). Anyway, most of the time I just discard the liner.

The magnet is wonderful. It easily holds a 2" or 3" brush out of the paint. Right now I'm using a 4" brush. This one (while it fits very well into the pail) doesn't fit to the magnet-side, only kind of sideways, but the magnet still holds it up pretty well. If not sure, try it out right in the store, before buying it. I really enjoy that I have one hand free while getting up/down the ladder, and the wooden part of the brush stays nice and clean all along. I only fill the pail that high.

BTW I recommend another great painting helper, it is called "pour-it" and I found it in our local OSH. This is a plastic lid that locks over the outside rim and seals to the inside rim of the can. There is a screw cap (about 2" dia.) on the top. When you open a can of paint, the original lid already gets damaged. It will never seal perfectly, and it is a hassle to take it off every time you pour some more paint. Also as the rim gets filled with paint... - you know this mess. The pour-it lid closes the can airtight. You can even shake it between uses, instead of stirring the paint with a stick. It is easy to open, (even after months) and when pouring, paint goes where you want it to go, there is no need to wipe off the rim of the can, there is no mess at all. It is easy to clean and use it on the next can.

These two helpers make painting and clean up a lot easier for me.

These are the perfect containers to use for painting. Very comfortable in your hand and there is a magnet strip that your paint brush will stick to and stay out of the paint. Use these with the Paint Pail liners for EASY clean up. Would not paint without these!!
