Product Description

Product Description

Pam Fastening Technology has introduced a new hot melt adhesive, UX8012 that when used in PAM's HB220 hot melt glue gun can easily create a high strength bond between carpet tack strips or metal clips and finished concrete, fiber cement backer board, or wood prior to the carpet being stetched over a floor. The major advantages in using UX8012 glue with the HB220 gun are strength of the bond and the quick 5- minute set up time of the adhesive. This allows the carpet installer greater productivity by not having to come back the next day or wait hours for the adhesive to fully cure before stretching carpet. The UX8012 must be applied at the pre-set temperature of 390 degrees on the HB220 glue gun in order to achieve maximum bond strength and an open time of 40 seconds.

This has to be the best glue gun I've ever used.

Heats up quickly; pistol grip and trigger provide good control; long nose/nozzle is easy to get into tight places; stand kept it steady on the workbench; no drips.

Used many a glue gun , most start out fine delivering glue quick and fast., until you add a new glue stick, then gluing starts to slow down as new stick has to melt, or you shut off gun with a part of the old glue stick left ,and again gluing slows down as glue has to heat up. Not so with HB220 does not take long for initial warm up no lag as you add new glue stick, fact is only thing that slows you down is waiting for applied glue to cool. Adj. heat settings never saw that before, replaceable glue nozzles of different sizes allows for accuracy and rate of flow suitable for the job at hand. Large but not cumbersome great stand ,outstanding carry case w/ 2 nozzles and temp adj. tool and manual.

After watching a Berber Carpet repair video on YouTube and watching the professional carpet repair by the Carpet repairman who highly recommended the PAM Hot glue gun I decided to look for the cheapest price online to purchase one. Of course the cheapest one I found was on Amazon, (no surprise there). I received the gun and repaired three carpet pulls in my Berber carpet following the instructional video recommendations. The carpet is repaired and even though I performed the repair I now can't find the locations that were repaired.

While the gun is a little expensive it has rubber tips with a metal tube that sticks out slightly at the end which allows you to get the glue precisely where you need it. I highly recommend this glue gun.

I chose this PAM HB220 Adjustable Temperature Glue Gun for my custom interior build on my SUV. So I could Hot Melt the wire harness to the top of the headliner to help eliminate rattle from the Audio system. WORKS GREAT!! DO NOT try to use a 110 gun!

The reviews so far are for carpet, but I have used this gun with the 220 hot glue to bond aluminum plate to heavy plexiglass. And bricks to wood, and tile to concrete. I love being able to squeeze a small amount and tack down a small woodworking hinge where I want it, and then put in the screws at my leisure. These are not weak bonds either - this stuff holds.

If you need a reliable gun glue this is it. I have used this on everything. Tip.. make sure you have your work ready and prefited, dont set the heat to high to have the glue come out faster, the glue has a working range that you should get after a few projects. leave it on factory setting and turn heat setting scew up if your not getting the results you want. not to much

I'm a crafter who also works on props and costumes for school plays. I melted the casing from my old craft glue gun and needed something that could keep up with me. This glue gun does.

I needed a glue gun that I could leave on for hours at a time, that doesn't constantly drip, has a stable stand, has adujstable trigger pressure, has adjustable temperature and interchangeable nozzle tips.

I LOVE this glue gun!

It heats within 5 minutes, takes awhile to cool down. When I first got the gun I was using the standard tip so I was not pulling the trigger all of the way to release glue and it would drip sometimes the next day that I used it. When my smaller tip arrived and I used full pulls there was no dripping.

My old gun barely survived a year of use, and it was supposed to be for the serious crafter.

I've only had the pamtite a month but I've put it through it's paces and finally found the glue gun for me.

I forgot to add that the stand is removable for those tight spots or to place in a holster.

This thing spits out glue faster than you think if you get careless with it! Keep a couple glue sticks in your pocket or near you so you can reload. A lot of times i'll pick up the gun and not realize that I need another stick.

The switch on the handle is nice as well.
Stands work perfect, and there is no drip from the nozzle.

Very glad I went with this gun and scrapped the $10 junker from the store.

I use this gun with the Pam glue and they work very well together.
