This splitter works great. Was worried when i saw so many bad review on other ones from other companies. I have a feeling that the instructions were not read and the air bleed screw was not opened! This splitter works very well, if you don't abuse it. Follow the INSTRUCTIONS for size of logs and you will be fine. Remember it's not gas, nor a 30 ton ram. It does a heck of alot for only 4 tons of psi. The only complaint is the packaging. Although someone was smarter this time. The box came wrapped in heavy packing tape all around. But something needs to be done about the styrofoam. It's not strong enough to support 110 lbs. Especially when you have careless UPS employees who throw your packages like lawn darts. Poor Homier must spend alot on broken parts due to shipping. A few dollars more on packing would offset that! I lucked out with mine. Only the back plate was bent. That was a simple fix. But it's luck of the draw to have one make it safely to you!. When you get it though. It's the best $268 bucks i've spent in a long time. Especially now a days.

I never owned a log splitter before and after reading the other review, we were a little hesitant. The splitter came much quicker than the projected delivery time and in great condition. No damage at all. It works great and is just what we wanted. The only negative thing about it is the instructions, They seem to imply that you owned one before and should know where everything is on it and we didn't. It took me two days to figure it out.
Clearer instructions and a complete diagram of where everything is on it would help a lot.

I had ordered this item for christmas last year. As we did not need to use it until this winter we just today took it out of the original box it came in.
To our surprise the electrical housing was carcked in half, the under carriage screws were borken off and there were missing parts. I contacted the Homier company and explained the situation. I was told that NO refund, replacement or service would be possible as the time had expired on the manufacturer warranty . This was a $349 purchase and the company will not even service it. I am very disappointed and will never use there online products again

I have never owned a log splitter before and only needed one for small projects. The unit came without assembly parts, the rear frame assembly was manufactured bent (Tires wouldnt fit because frame was welded incorrectly), screws supplied by manufacture wouldnt fit because screw incorrect size. I got it to work and finished my project. I wouldnt purchase another product from this manufacturer.
