My fish died in 25 days,

I had this on my classroom computer for 25 days and it died. My students loved it. No written guaranty! Motor is dead and seems not to be that good since it states not to run it more than 12 hours a day. I only ran it about 8 hours a day. Not worth the money I paid for.

I bought one of these several years ago from another company and really enjoyed it. I left it running 24x7 and after a year or so the motor burned out. Tried to buy another but the company no longer sold them.I ran across this unit by accident and immediately bought it. I did notice a few differences between the aquarium from several years ago and the new unit, that just arrived: 1) The motor is a bit louder (not too bad but the original aquarium was silent). 2) The motor is also stronger. The fish move much faster and are less relaxing to watch because of it. Hopefully, it will slow down as the motor breaks in. 3) the color of the light cycles and is not user controllable. In the original aquarium, you could select a color or let it cycle. 4) the finish on the fish is not quite as nice as the original. But that being said, I am really happy that some company is once again producing these!! I learned my lesson and will only run the motor when I am at my computer.

What can you expect for the price, works fine but leaked out of where the power goes into the pump. I removed the back and but some caulk on it and it fixed it just fine. I never tried to return it so I cannot comment on how responsive they would of been.
