Great product not the cheap version. Doesn't overheat or short out like the less expensive ones. HDE delivered within 2 days of order, 3 days before promised date. Charged all my friends different laptops. Have charged 2 Toshiba's and 3 HP laptops all different models with one product. Highly recommend.

...this particular kit as ordered in July 2010 doesn't include one for the Dell Latitude D-series (apparently that's 7.4 mm "diameter" with a 0.65 mm center pin) - and despite offering 19V and 20V steps, Dell managed to specify 19*.5*V for those machines.
Of course, it also didn't promise to, and I was crossing my fingers when ordering. Superficially, the casing seems sturdy, the voltage switch is nicely designed (shows the voltage selected clearly through a 'window' in the case), and the additional 5V USB output is a nice touch. It's a two-pin design and polarity is enforced by 'fatter pin/thinner pin' - so it's probably possible to reverse it and damage the connector if you force it unmindfully, just something to be aware of - this also means it'd be relatively convenient to bodge wires into in a pinch for DIY projects/emergency use, and the negative pin appears to be marked if you squint very closely at the surface of the connector. For now it'll wait on my 'spares' shelf for the day when I need any of the 8 connectors it does provide. Unfortunately, given the unlimited creativity of notebook manufacturers, they'd probably have to include another 8 or 16 tips to cover *every* device in the wild, but the included selection appears to cover the most common styles except for those #%^& Dells!
