1.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the original
We use our Wii in two locations so I thought it would be handy to have an extra sensor bar. Even though this is a very simple device and looks just like the original, the performace is not as good. We use it from about 8-10 feet. You must be directly in front of the unit to work, if you are off to the sides it does not work. When it does work, the pointer on the screen...

The "Wired Sensor Bar for the Nintendo Wii: Stand Included!" is the same product that came with my Wii. I always find concern when purchasing from unknown sites; however, with Amazon backing the company I took a chance. The price was good, the shipping was good, the turn-around time was good, and we are good, now. We've played the Wii many times with the new sensor and have had no issues. This is a good buy and I even purchased an extra (even though we moved all cabling away from hungry vacuums).

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow....., December 29, 2007

I ordered this sensor bar thinking I was going to get a cheap, hardly working sensor bar. I WAS WRONG. This sensor bar is great! No more wild hand thing on the screen! No more wasting batteries for the wireless sensor bars (which don't work for me). This sensor bar is even better then the one that the Wii came with. I recommend this 100%.

We use our Wii in two locations so I thought it would be handy to have an extra sensor bar. Even though this is a very simple device and looks just like the original, the performace is not as good. We use it from about 8-10 feet. You must be directly in front of the unit to work, if you are off to the sides it does not work. When it does work, the pointer on the screen jumps around considerably. For both locations I swapped the original back in with the same lighting conditions and there was no problem with the original bar. I would not recommend this product.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not happy., March 25, 2009

I bought this sensor as an extra so that I wouldn't have to move the wires when I took the wii other places. I am very disappointed in this sensor. It will not sense the remote if it is more than 7 ft. away. The seller was very nice and sent me a new one but the new one was just as bad.

I thought all was lost when my dog ate the sensory bar that came with the Wii. But finding this product was gold. It actually works better than the original. This is a great deal. I should have bought two.

Cat ate my last Wii sensor bar, and I've replaced it with this one. Looks/works exactly the same, very good deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, November 25, 2011

Not much to it, it's just a sensor bar for the Wii and it works well. I was a little bit wary from the absurdly cheap price and unheard of brand name, but with the price I figured the worst case scenario is I would be out $5. I was a put off even more when I saw the packaging covered in almost comical grammatical errors ("It is easy and convenience to use. Only need connect the inductor's plug to the WII console." "Tear off the two-sided of holder." "Please do not use in the case of the inundated or broken.").

In the end though what really matters is how well it works. Once I plugged it in and adjusted the sensitivity in the Wii's settings it worked perfectly fine. A nice cheap replacement sensor bar and no more messing with my wireless one that ate through batteries like they were candy.

It is exactly what they say, but smaller than the original and easier to use. It is on a small plastic stand that allows it to be moved around from tv to tv and still be "seen" by the remotes.
